It's not fair to compare the trailers, when the Madden animations actually work (rarely) they look really good, but the 2K8 animations and such work FAR more than madden
2K make the best physics for any game. I just can't wait for Madden's NFL license to expire, so we can play a real Football simulation game in the future.

APF 2K8 looks awesome! I just got Madden 08 for the Xbox 360...and it sucks. You cant even change the camera angle! Theres no commentators, it is just EA Sports radio announcers...The animations are horrible, it is just an all out bad game. It does have some pretty cool Hit Stick hits but that's about all that is good. That video makes it look better than it is. I don't see how people can defend EA and Madden.
I want to see them both continue. I want to see 2K Sports to continue All-Pro Football and I want EA Sports to continue Madden, like having the best of the past and present.

i gotta say if they combined apf presentations and smooth lookin characters with madden's gameplay (minus the insane amount of interceptions that a madden game comes with) it would a perfect football game.
i played both i liked madden better, the only problem i had with the next gen madden was it didnt have the classic teams and that was always my favorite part of madden. the problem i had with 2k8 was it didnt feel right, and i hated how the guys would talk to each other before the coin toss. neither game is close to how good madden 09 is though

Comparison between the sidelines: Madden- You can run right thriugh them, when you score a TD they only do one thing, pump their fist in the air and they all do it at the ame time. Nom 2k8- the players are talking smack, catching people, shake their heads when something bad happens, get run over, and i love this, when you score a Td they're all jumping with their arms up some pump their fist and the coach even gets excited.

In madden the computer cheats all the fucking time. The turnovers in the game are so rediculous it's make the past NFL blitz games look more realistic.
madden 09 has not rain off helmet effects, their sideline players are horrible looking and you can literally run straight through them like they are ghosts when you run out of bounds, Madden 09 has no cheerleaders but a bunch of inanimate guys on the sidelines (2k8 sideline non-players also have animations) Madden 09 has a weak replay system, no halftime highlight or postgame highlight show. and the list goes on... their exclusive nfl license deal has caused them to get lazy with their games.
yea i know, if only that was possible. maybe one day that nfl contract license madden has will run out.... all i know is im not giving ea any money until they can be on par with the 2k games game play and realism and it looks like that is a long way off.
ok lets be honest, i bought madden 09 and traded it after picking up 2k8 real cheap. It smoked madden 09 even. Things 2k8 does that madden09 does not = rain drops bounce off helmets, sideline players are involved in the game, catching players that run out of bounds, hopping out of the way, or getting knocked down. Grass flies up from sharp cuts and turns, create a player more realistic because you can't 99 overall stat everybody, animations are superb. did things madden 09 just caught on to.
Poor madden fans haven't tried the 2k games... and they should. In college each friend of mine that were huge madden guys all converted to 2k after just a few games. This was before Madden agreed with the NFL and PLayers Association tho.
APF is a gem!!The fluidity and animation of the game are amazing. the players look like theyre supposed to in size and all and u can actuall feel the difference in the quaterbacks on how fast they throw to how tough they are in the scramble. You litterally just have seconds before letting go of the ball in APF than as in Madden you can scramble for like 45 secs without anyone coming at you. The only reason why Madden makes the fans and the money is because of their precious "Licence" thats it.
Madden is much more arcade feeling to me,I just don't like the madden gameplay feel...the 2K sports engine is just awesome..I loved 2K5..and I still like it better than madden 2008.

Madden has and will always have a better game than ANY other producer because of one thing, Exclusive Rights to the NFL teams and rosters, now start talking about how realistic it is!
The Exclusive Rights to the NFL will expire in a couple of years, after which the NFL said it has no intent of signing another exclusive deal. Then, the games begin!
depends on what you consider "suckage".......EA most be doing something right, exclusive rights aside, to still be making millions upon millions of fans of their products........crap or not, they're still making money and that's all any company, video games or other, care about........2k included

Always thought the 2K8 Trailer, they sent out (in your video) was crappy. They need to zoom in, in 1080P, with good colors and more work. 2K seemed lazy in their trailer production. every thing about 2k8 is real.. In madden you can run about 15 yards downfield and throw the ball off your backfoot and throw it about 50 yards down field, which is impossible. for me depends on the system for madden 08 if it's ps2 i choose apf but if it's for 360 i choose madden 08. and people don't say no diff there is a big diff between 360 madden and ps2 madden

All Pr Football tackles are more realistic in Madden your playe does not show where he gets hit. Like your helmet will fly off if you get leg tackled or youll trip when you get a body tackle. It makes no sense. APF is better with those rag doll hits if anyone knows what rag doll means.
apf 2k8 is alot of missing alot of legends like LT, Phill Sims, Terrel Davis, Michael Irvin, and Deion sanders. Maybe 2k9 will have that and brett favre

madden 09 has not rain off helmet effects, their sideline players are horrible looking and you can literally run straight through them like they are ghosts when you run out of bounds, Madden 09 has no cheerleaders but a bunch of inanimate guys on the sidelines (2k8 sideline non-players also have animations) Madden 09 has a weak replay system, no halftime highlight or postgame highlight show. and the list goes on... their exclusive nfl license deal has caused them to get lazy with their games.

yea i know, if only that was possible. maybe one day that nfl contract license madden has will run out.... all i know is im not giving ea any money until they can be on par with the 2k games game play and realism and it looks like that is a long way off.

ok lets be honest, i bought madden 09 and traded it after picking up 2k8 real cheap. It smoked madden 09 even. Things 2k8 does that madden09 does not = rain drops bounce off helmets, sideline players are involved in the game, catching players that run out of bounds, hopping out of the way, or getting knocked down. Grass flies up from sharp cuts and turns, create a player more realistic because you can't 99 overall stat everybody, animations are superb. did things madden 09 just caught on to.

Poor madden fans haven't tried the 2k games... and they should. In college each friend of mine that were huge madden guys all converted to 2k after just a few games. This was before Madden agreed with the NFL and PLayers Association tho.

APF is a gem!!The fluidity and animation of the game are amazing. the players look like theyre supposed to in size and all and u can actuall feel the difference in the quaterbacks on how fast they throw to how tough they are in the scramble. You litterally just have seconds before letting go of the ball in APF than as in Madden you can scramble for like 45 secs without anyone coming at you. The only reason why Madden makes the fans and the money is because of their precious "Licence" thats it.

Madden is much more arcade feeling to me,I just don't like the madden gameplay feel...the 2K sports engine is just awesome..I loved 2K5..and I still like it better than madden 2008.
I give the nod to APF2008 over madden..

Always thought the 2K8 Trailer, they sent out (in your video) was crappy. They need to zoom in, in 1080P, with good colors and more work. 2K seemed lazy in their trailer production. (they had a small budget compared to EA, Extremly small!) But, come on. In my basement I could produce better trailers. Take a look at some of the videos to your right. Also Anyone know the 1 or 2 updated I downloaded after not playing for 6 months? Email me with the answer only.

every thing about 2k8 is real.. In madden you can run about 15 yards downfield and throw the ball off your backfoot and throw it about 50 yards down field, which is impossible. And the nfl sold its rights thing to EA which is a stupid move for them. Because they were getting tons of money off of all those games selling the NFL Name, and you all no it. Heres all it is.. People who say madden is way better , basically love fake football , because it is not way better.

APF wins in my book.The only fun thing in madden is the superstar mode (I think thats what its called, I traded in the game awhile ago), where you play as one character.

ya I know I am a madden fan but it would have been better if both companies had the license because it is more competition because from madden 04 to 05 was a complete change because they had a another nfl competition in nfl2k5.But from 05 to 08 they haven't made any great changes compared to 04 to 05.

All Pr Football tackles are more realistic in Madden your playe does not show where he gets hit. Like your helmet will fly off if you get leg tackled or youll trip when you get a body tackle. It makes no sense. APF is better with those rag doll hits if anyone knows what rag doll means.
