The kind of violence depicted on this game is frankly disgusting. My child played it under my supervsion as the game certificate is 18. But what abhorred me the most was that the character they were playing with shows no remorse or emotion while brutally slaying his enemy. I shudder to think that many of you are not eighteen yourselves and should not be egging eachother on but instead boycotting violent games for consoles like the Wii, and its freindlier and more fun approach to video gaming
I just hope that there's a patch to fix the controll lag. Some say it's weapon weight, but it's more than just the aiming. EVERYTHING takes a fraction of a second to respond, even going through the menus as proof. I gave it a 8.75 since the rest of the game is awesome.
I was, sadistically sadly, been punished for the previous week. When did they start patching it? I like the extra weight to the game, but controller lag isn't the extra animation, it's when the game responds after pressing a button. Hoping people actually read this. You are lifting a bad up when you're trying to lift it, not when you're about to lift it, right?

Judo, I really want to like the "bigboy" consoles, but christ, everything I read about them is a joke. They are PCs... albeit highly underpowerd and (lol) non-configurable PCs at heart.

There is no MP advantage over PC gaming, at all. Anyone who thinks so is fuckiing foolish. Most games online for consoles are a joke, crap matchmaking at best. The ps3 version of both call of duties doesn't even have servers, it's all P2P so when the host drops the whole game ends, right there. The only online ps3 game where I've seen a good system is Socom. And that has channels, aka Servers and the ranked games are hosted on them. Too bad the game sucks because it's not made by zipper.
Because with a good pc, gaming on the pc is that much better. Ill still use my ps3 for exclusives and platforming type games, but I try to get shooters on pc when possible.

Every vid I've seen of Killzone 1 and 2 exhibit tearing which kills the gorgeous look of game.... and heavily detracts from the immersion. Everytime I see a PS3 or XBox 360 at Frys or Best Buy hooked up to some $2K-4K screen, whatever game the dumb kids are playing has tears and jaggies everywhere everytime.
It looks terrible and voids any reason to play "next gen" games on hardware that's incapable of AA and V-Sync.
It's still does'nt stand up against Halo 3 thats for sure, I mean Halo 3 has co-operative gameplay, sony really needs to come into the next century when making games like Killzone 2.

PS3 was not better than 360 in the start, but now, it is way beyond it. The 360 is maxed out and this game uses only %60 of the CPU. Sony games like this never arrive on anythign made by mircosoft. Thats a fact. And I prefer Trophies over achievements because I can show them off in home.

The kind of violence depicted on this game is frankly disgusting. My child played it under my supervsion as the game certificate is 18. But what abhorred me the most was that the character they were playing with shows no remorse or emotion while brutally slaying his enemy. I shudder to think that many of you are not eighteen yourselves and should not be egging eachother on but instead boycotting violent games for consoles like the Wii, and its freindlier and more fun approach to video gaming

I just hope that there's a patch to fix the controll lag. Some say it's weapon weight, but it's more than just the aiming. EVERYTHING takes a fraction of a second to respond, even going through the menus as proof. I gave it a 8.75 since the rest of the game is awesome.

I like the extra weight to the game, but controller lag isn't the extra animation, it's when the game responds after pressing a button. Hoping people actually read this. Of course there isn't: but that's what the "claim" was... that was/is one of the MAIN focal selling points for Consoles... is that the MP aspect is "easy".
Also, "setting up and playing games on a console is easy".....
These kids should have been quick enough to realize that once the Consoles have to go through the same patching processes/etc as PC games/etc/etc... that the lie was right there 'in front of them' exposed for ALL to see...

This whole game is smoke and mirrors. It didn't take me long to figure that out. It took so long to get out because they spent so much time optimizing every part of every level so it'd run decent.

Judo, I really want to like the "bigboy" consoles, but christ, everything I read about them is a joke. They are PCs... albeit highly underpowerd and (lol) non-configurable PCs at heart.
I've read about all the cheating that goes down (on closed servers even), so there isn't even a MP advantage over PC MPgaming which really defeats the whole purpose.
Todays consoles are the biggest conspiracy to be attempted and pulled off successfully on gamers since the TurboGrafix16.

There is no MP advantage over PC gaming, at all. Anyone who thinks so is fuckiing foolish. Most games online for consoles are a joke, crap matchmaking at best. The ps3 version of both call of duties doesn't even have servers, it's all P2P so when the host drops the whole game ends, right there. The only online ps3 game where I've seen a good system is Socom. And that has channels, aka Servers and the ranked games are hosted on them. Too bad the game sucks because it's not made by zipper.

Google, "tear", and "V sync": I'm not going to educate you, kiddo.
Every vid I've seen of Killzone 1 and 2 exhibit tearing which kills the gorgeous look of game.... and heavily detracts from the immersion. Everytime I see a PS3 or XBox 360 at Frys or Best Buy hooked up to some $2K-4K screen, whatever game the dumb kids are playing has tears and jaggies everywhere everytime.
It looks terrible and voids any reason to play "next gen" games on hardware that's incapable of AA and V-Sync.

on multiplayer, how do u know if u got points by killing somebody? Like cod5, u know if u kill somebody by it saying 10 points at the top of the screen. for example, if u throw a grenade into a diferent room or u r shooting somebody from a long distance, how do u know if u killed him or not and if u do, do u get points?

You're funny, coz last time I checked, the xbox 360 didn't have as many AAA+ titles as ps3 did when they first launched and in their respective lifespan period...sony already has big games like resistance 2, MGS 4, little big planet and such...
and this year we are getting killzone 2, god of war 3, uncharted 2, final fantasy 13 versus, MAG, infamous, heavy rain, yakuza 3, white knight chronicles, demon soul, gran turismo 5 and more..

PS3 was not better than 360 in the start, but now, it is way beyond it. The 360 is maxed out and this game uses only %60 of the CPU. Sony games like this never arrive on anythign made by mircosoft. Thats a fact. And I prefer Trophies over achievements because I can show them off in home.
