It's kind of a Super Robot Wars in itself, really. Lot of mecha concepts and types - it's like a cross between SRW: Original Generation and Dead Or Alive.

Really, all this game ever lacked was a Create Your Own feature.

I'm tryna play this joint again sometime soon....even if Goldibus IS the most absolute cheapest boss ever. I remember the 1st time I played it. I killed this fool and thought it was over...and he got right the fuck back up and thoroughly destroyed me! I just haven't experienced that "OK, what the fuck just happened?" factor in the games coming out 2 day. Bring back that surprise factor, like Goldibus's first "death." I admit, once I got the hang of Goldibus (which mostly involved holding the block button till my finger got a cramp) I wuz totally owning him. I haven't fought Seth (yet) but my lil bro has. i know who ur talking about, King Lion is a bastard to fight especially cause as soon as u think u got him pinned he does nasty counters. but Seth is just cheap. he teleports, does a nasty upper cut that takes a good chunk of ur life, dual sonic booms, and this throw that takes another chunk of ur life. it might all seem like nothing, but when u try fighting him the throw and the uppercut is what's gonna kill u. it's a pain in the ass.

of course fighting Seth is rly similar 2 fighting Akuma or Bison (particularly SFA 3 Bison). The primary determinant of ur success level rly depends on who ur using and how well u play with them. (as i crush with Ryu, Ken, and Sagat anyway, Seth posed me no problems whatsoever when playing as any of them) As i totally suck with Zangief (Goro Daimon and Clark Steel from KOF r much better throw based characters imo) so im not rly lookin 4ward 2 fightin Seth with HIM

Yo! I ain't seen this clip in bout 4 years! Yeah...that's about the time when my copy of Tech Romancer for Dreamcast crapped out on me. I recently downloaded Cyberbots 2 my laptop, but I wuzn't satisfied with it. 2 me, Tech Romancer was far superior 2 Cyberbots. It's a shame every single ROM of it I download never seems 2 work. In the end, it'll always be my shit! I can fondly remember long hours wasted constantly playin this. Man, I need a Tech Romancer fix bad as hell!

Other way around. Evangelion, which actually came out in 94 as a manga and 95 as an anime, is older than the 98 game, Tech Romancer; the latter puposesly copies other animes. G-Kaizer or Kikaioh is an apparently homage to Maginger G. Rafaga is a copy of Macross (the first season of Robotech) and Pulsion, he/she is a homage to both Ultraseven (ultraman spinoff) and evangelion(weapons and arms.) Dixen is actually a copy of Gundam, Gunbuster or Candidate for Goddess rather than Evangelion.
