Russian 19th century literature is just great. Dostoevsky, Tolstoi, Gogol, Pushkin, Chekhov, Gorki, Toergenjev, Maximov, Lermontov...

Thanks for those names! Just that I find oftentimes that translated books sometimes lack the depth they would have contained if read in the translated language. Would one need to understand full Russian to read the above authors?
