Apple does things that makes it so easy to adapt to your new phone..... I got a Samsung phone with a amazing screen which I LOVED! But after a few days of using this phone I still loved that HUGE screen but it wasn't as easy to do things on. It was a little more confusing not to mention its place where you hold your contacts didn't really hold all my contacts. IPhone seems to have a easier and better way of doing everything! Defintly go for this upgrade!

@RailgunNZ Both phones at 16gb are $650, I checked with a service provider here in Canada, on a 3 year plan the iPhone 4S is $160 and the S2 is $150. So where is this $300 coming from. I like iPhone personally, It has FaceTime, iTunes, AppStore, iTunesU, Find my iPhone, iCloud, NewsStand,and iBooks. Android fails to have something similar integrated in to it that's also accessible on your computer. Plus the apps on android can be very glitchy, might not work, etc. because they aren't controlled.
@canascot02 In NZ for a handset only (off contact) can get a galaxy s2 for around $750 and the 16gb iphone 4s is $1050. I agree with you on the apps. Due to the range android headsets, some apps may not be optimized and not perform as it should. That said, popular (useful apps) should run on both OS just as good. I'm not saying the iphone 4s is a bad phone, just that you can get a better deal going for the galaxy s2. They have very similar in specs and each OS has its strong point.
@RailgunNZ Wow that's pretty expensive. Yeah galaxy S2 is a good phone, I guess since I have a mac it's so convenient to have the compatibility, with applications on the phone and computer that work together and have iCloud push data to them both for example ical, or iTunes. Also having iTunes on your phone is awesome.
@canascot02 definitely handy being able to organize your music on itunes then syncing to phone. Haven't really used this icloud thing but i can see why it would be good to have. Are you using itunes match? been thinking of getting but not sure its worth the money.

Have you looked at the galaxy note, HTC evo 4g , HTC Sensation, Samsung epic, Samsung galaxy s2*. Motorola even has a new addition to there Razer line up. Have your tried the HTC Sense user interface? is the best i have ever used; much better than touchwiz (Samsung) or the IOS one.

@iloverihanna43 The 4S is the 5th iPhone, so waiting on an iDevice labeled iPhone 5 to actually come out just isn't worth it since that's never going to happen. Technology is constantly improving, so don't worry about it stalling any time soon. As for if you should upgrade to the 4S, it's a personal choice. Personally, I'm holding off until the inevitable quad core LTE iPhone.
I have the iPhone 4 and I'm not upgrading to the 4S. I'm not getting a new phone until the next MAJOR iPhone upgrade (probably iPhone 5). The 4 gets better battery life and does just as much, and the camera is still decent enough. As long as you know how to hold it right, you won't drop calls.

Hi john, i have a question about siri, if you are connected to wifi at home does it use wifi or the 3g signal? And also, does speech dictiation for texting use 3g?
@dqwdfuiqw It uses wifi if it has wi fi detected to save battery life if i'm not mistaken. But why have both wifi and 3G when you're home? Turn off 3G and use wifi ;)
@1994liverpoolrule Why not? Everything is there, except Siri. Siri is not part of the iOS 5 update, which is why. Its a seperate software built into iPhone 4S.

@MrPaulxd I suggest you make a trip down to your local store to try the galaxy s2 because that's the best way to experience a phone. I wasn't really a fan of Android, I was previously using a blackberry but now that i've owned the galaxy s2 i would say it's a beast.

My friends got me an iPhone 4 just 2 days before the iPhone 4s was announced. I'm not really the apple freak, but I prefer my iphone to the new one, it's the same thing as you said. My girlfriend got an iphone 4s and she doesn't use siri at all. So it really doesn't mean much. Anyways I hope the iPhone 5 (or the one after 4SSSSSSSSSS) is really awesome and worth the wait.

@Kingpin745 I like the size of the phone. They don't need to make it bigger but, they could perhaps put a 3.7 - 4 inch screen while keeping it approximately the same size IMO

@stlallstar exact same scenario as me! I despise this g2x. I have owned two iPhones however(3GS and Verizon's iPhone 4) and I am STRONGLY considering switching to AT&T. Since you have never owned one I can say with admitted bias and personal satisfaction that you simply can't go wrong with making that switch. I have NEVER had problems to the extent of what I experience with my G2x and I've only had it since October 13th, 2011. Get the iPhone 4S man. Peace.

@Appleipadz123 YES! I have the exact problem. I love my Thunderbolt, but the battery life isn't that great, and I am afraid to even try to make it through the day if I used it as much as my iPod touch.

not worth the upgrade, I agree, unless you just want the latest device, iv had all previous iphones and found them a little boring , they should have given us bigger screen at least, just a big let down this year for me, not bashing, its a cool phone, but im going for nexus or epic touch ,havnt decided yet, thanks for great review Jon.

My friends got me an iPhone 4 just 2 days before the iPhone 4s was announced. I'm not really the apple freak, but I prefer my iphone to the new one, it's the same thing as you said. My girlfriend got an iphone 4s and she doesn't use siri at all. So it really doesn't mean much. Anyways I hope the iPhone 5 (or the one after 4SSSSSSSSSS) is really awesome and worth the wait.
