  • i love japanese modesty

  • hahahaha LOL

  • 0:41 sounds like an angry bird

  • lol the little jap tripped him .. smart move i say the french couldnt figure that out lol

  • Lomu v Japanese = like swatting flies .. but the one of the flies takes him down

  • Jonah is the fucking king, k thx bye.

  • the best player of all time

  • jonah lomu was a body builder

jonah lomu was a professional sprinter

jonah lomu was a very nice man and a great sportsman

jonah lomu became a God of rugby

  • Funny how that japanese guy was talking then jonah touched the ball, he got mean excited LOL

  • japanese are sucha crak up wif there sounds ooooweeeeee lol

  • He knocked it on a metre away from the try line lol

  • New Zealand 2011 world champs!

  • Where's Lomu? Oh yeah, on the try line...again....

  • He is past his time in rugby. He was brilliant in his prime. The man has made his legacy. He was amazing because of his power and pace. Now, he just has power and runs like a cart-horse.

  • hahahahha...meannn, churrr cuzzie, uncle

  • great tackle by the little japanese man :D

  • wow he was tackled from behind by a japanese player, never would imagine that

  • Those New Zeaolanders who have never been out of New Zealand and think that the all blacks are the greatest should shut the fuck up. Just look at the world cups. New Zealand is no longer the greatest team on earth. Are they good, yes, but other nations play good rugby too.

Those racist asshole who don't know shit about the world should stay in NZ and keep their mouth shut.

  • @flanker7677 settle down mate, NZ are still number 1 in the world last time I checked. And they will have a chance to prove it (or loose it) at the Tri-nations and next years cup.

  • @flanker7677 Rugby 2010 Try Nations clean sweep? 10 games on the trot against Australia? As far as the World Cup goes you ask any Australian or South African Rugby player how hard is it to win in NZ . . . Virtually Impossible Can't wait for the Richie McCaw show next World Cup buddy Because I know for dam sure no South African Waitress is going to be Food POisoning the brothers. Flanker? yeah right!

  • @mywhare still going on about the "food poisoning" thing. it was only 16 years ago so i guess its still relevant. i guess you didnt know that some springbok players ate the same food and were also sick and vomiting before the game. but i guess they did that to themselves too?

  • @jimbojims thats bollocks, totally different hotel, and it wasnt the food, so dont make shit up :)

  • gd tackle by dat japanese dude.. Go Japan rugby

  • sad to see lomu that slow

  • @Beans19932011 They're currently ranked 13th of 95 by the IRB. One ahead of Canada...

  • he reli should have played 7s that game would have suited him

  • F.Y.I - 1994 Hong Kong 7's. player of the tournament.

  • 0:47 nice tackle!

  • owned

  • that guy sounds weird

  • I played the USA schoolboys team when I was at high school. We beat them by 60 points. Wairarapa bush secondary schools that is :D

  • omg someone actually tackle him! :O

  • KAMIKAZE!!!!!

  • Japan must have been scared shitless...

  • yeh fuck oath, it looks like fathers v sons match. but the Japs have alot of guts!

  • Why? Japan has the fourth largest population of rugby union players in the world. They're currently ranked 13th out of 95 teams by the IRB. In Japan almost every public high school and even some jr. high schools have rugby teams. It's the third most popular sport in the country after baseball and soccer. The all-Japan high school rugby tournament (Hanazono) is run live on national TV every year with over 1,200 teams showing. Two years ago they beat team USA 29-19 and 32-17.

  • why the fuck do u know so much about japanese rugby? and give me a break there are not 95 international sides...... tell me if japan are ranked 13 (and japan are fuckn rubbish) who tha fuck is ranked 91? i can tell ya that whoever it is have about 1000 active rugby players and shoudnt even be on the fucken rankings table

  • @TheRis81 Because I live and play rugby in Japan. Because my oldest son played high school rugby for three years and then got a scolarship to play rugby at a major Japanese university. Nobody "thinks" there are 95 international sides... There are 95 member unions in the IRB. That's a fact. You say Japan "are fuckn rubbish" and then you say there are only 22 competetive nations in rugby. Japan is ranked 13th... So they're rubbish, but they're competetive? You're not making sense.

  • @OOQRA cmon mate we all know the brazilians have never heard of rugby. tell me what would happen if they were to meet new zealand what would happen? and they are sittin nicely at 35 or something! anything under brazil is akin to backyard efforts

  • in truth there are only 22 competetive nations in rugby, u guys are kidding yourselves if u think there are actually 95 sides thats outrageous. some of these countrys have never even heard of rugby or dont partake in it whatsoever. 95 international sides HA HA joke

  • monaco ha ha are there really any players in monaco or are they merely trying to make this sport look truly international? face it boys u cant match footballs popularity. u claim 95 but its more like 25

  • what year was this?

  • i love lomu's running style,

    he has this unbreakable run,

    i love it!

  • he's still got his side step, nice one Jonah!

  • Harsh call he was up against a right winger (Considering most people are right handed, the backs passing skills are most suited to pass to their right, so they put speedier wingers on the right and powerful wingers on the left, hence why Jonahs on the left) it's not like he got cut down by a prop or anything

  • Poor Jonah, he can't run lightening fast anymore...

  • i hope he play again to

you do know hes a body builder right?

  • Read something before speaking. He didn't suffer kidney failure because he used steroids.

Lomu had nephotic syndrome, and it is generally CURED using steroids.

I don't know what that doctor told you but if he was referring to Jonah he was defintely wrong.

  • @MaxArt2501 your statement is a little misleading, it's cured by steroids, but a completely different type...

  • @camfay77 Well actually it's not my statement, but those who believe that Lomu used "those" steroids to improve his physical performance. Simply the opposite.

  • @MaxArt2501 I second your comment!

  • @MaxArt2501 Tongan people dont need steroids...lol

  • @TortoiseKweek Please try not to show off your stupidity. If Lomu was on steroids he would have been BANNED. Doping testing was well around before 1995 (I only need to remind you all of Ben Johnson). And Lomu is natrually a huge fucker, like most Polynesians (watch Fiji, Samoa and Tonga play test rugby league - or look at some videos of prop Tonga'Uiha running). Don't assume some jackass crap becuase a doctor told you. Doctors don't know everything.

  • I know they're not on par with any of the big countries. I just said they may eventually get somewhere near that area (near not at). And they can beat the US and the US can beat Canada, therefore I'd say they probably can beat Canada. Of course I know some of the Japanese players aren't Japanese by ancestry at least.

  • it sounds to me like you know absolutely nothing about rugby

  • No they can not beat Canada. This summer Canada crushed Japan by over 50 points, and beat the States by over 40 points...Canada also beat the Tongas 45 3, and the tongas and Japan had a really close game, i can't remember which team won but it was by 2 or 3 points.

  • when did canada play usa this summer?

i thought usa vs canada series was later this week

  • my bad, that was last summer. But i guess we'll see in a week then, do you know where the game is?

  • yea charleston south carolina

we want to use the heat down thier to our advantage the cans might not play well in the heat.

but who knows canada has won the last 4 matches against us.

then on the 11th usa is playing canada in newfoundland

  • States won, congrats though i hope we see a try in Canada. And to answer your other question i play u14 rugby in Toronto (probably not what you expected)

  • lol no not what i was expecting

where is the usa vs canada qualifier on saturday at?

  • what about you, where and what level do you play?

And I'm not sure but I read somewhere it was in New Brunswick (or one of the islands in the East).

I'll try to catch the end of the game, I have a game in the morning with my club and then a practise with another team, so I'm going to be loaded with rugby. Do you know when the tri-nation starts?

  • i play high school rugby in wisconsin.

the tri-nations start on saturday australia is playing the all blacks in new zealand

  • oi bra, whats rugby like in american high school?? I play in Aus high school

  • well its ok not alot of funding but that will change wiith rugbys inclusion to the olympics

  • @happyhour2624 Very, very few American high school teams. Pretty popular in private prep schools and in a few public scholl areas but participation vs American football is negligible. Likely at least by 1,000 to1, maybe even a lot more. Rugby starts for most here at a club level in college and grad school. It's largely for former football players that stopped playing football for any number of reasons. I'm outside NYC and can't think of a single public high school that has it as a sport.

  • if you guys win both games you wil have to play the all blacks france and tonga in the world cup.

i know you guys can beat tongs in the world cup. if usa loses to canada and beats uraguay they will have a less competitive pool in the world cup

  • I'm from France, but i now live in Canada, so I wouldn't mind having both Canada and France play, just to piss off my teamates!

  • LOL that is cool

do you play cdi rugby or college or something?

  • they played on the fourth i know that i thought they played a week or two after im not sure

  • yea usa won on the fourth but they lost the game later

  • he only caught him because he's going through kidney disease.

  • japan is good??

  • They're the best team in Asia and better than the US, but certainly not on par with New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, or Argentina. But they're getting better. I doubt they'll ever be tri-nations level, but they might get as good as France and England maybe.

  • Wales are better than argentina, england, france, and so on.

fourth best team in the world and getting better!

  • *smacks self* I forgot Wales. Sorry about that. Being an American I'm still new to rugby so I have a habit of forgetting important countries (outside of the big three in the southern hemisphere).

  • i highly doubt they will catch up to france and england within the next century

  • knock on my ass!

  • good try but brill tackle on lomu 2 save the try

  • lol made the run but dient have enough gas the finsih it

  • lo lhe runs like he has chafing or crabs but he was a beast at his prime

  • japan who named by zinzan brook as one of the hard tackles in the game ..but johan too big for any player

  • lomu lost his pace big time. looks like a grandpa running on the field

  • heh yeah. he almost looks like a guy thats recovering from a degenitive kidney disease running down there..

  • Was the guy that brought him down that super japanese winger?

    Hes got pace

  • This is like in 2007, Jonah hasn't played rugby for years because of his kidney translant, that's why a little Japanese chap brought him down...don't give him any more credit than is due. Good on Jonah for trying to give it a go in the face of all odds though...never be another player like him

  • far da man stops lomu even though some of the biggest names in rugby have failed trying 2

  • wud have been 5 stars if he scorred nd it was against some desant opposition. butt.......................... hes still gor it :P

  • It is easier to tackle from behind...you just have to be brave enough to throw your body on those legs thats all.

  • nice footage mate :D

  • clap clap to that little japanese fulla, even a big springbok struggles to bring down lomu from behind..

  • i dnt beleive it!

i never thought id see the day...not only did a guy actualy bring down jonah on his own...but it was a japanese guy!

  • wow lomu marshall spencer, reads like an all time all choice back line almost...

  • Rugbys changed alot since Lomu played with players like Ma'anonu and Rokofoco and Siviveni

  • Funny LoL. good tackle on Lomu at the end

  • god, that person laughs like a right spazz

  • Who ever posted this video with a title like that and for those of you who commented on his inability obviously dont have a frigin clue about the sport or the individual himself. Stick to posting soccer vids or netball or what ever it is that you actually do or wish you could do.

  • he might be old but evrey one nows hes the best

  • was the best! Leave it at that!

  • Lomu is old? The guy came back from a kidney transplant . . hmm I think that may be why he has lost some speed.

  • ur an idiot....he didn't have a transplant when he was 16! he had it when he was twenty somehting during his rugby career. but then he came back to play again.

  • this year....and the team is japan

  • How old is this game? And who is it against? (Tonga, Japan or Canada?)

  • Actually five years ago too....he was the greatest...but time is time for everyone of us..

  • @lekesan well said mate

  • 10 yrs ago he would have made it.
