people I've noticed lately. Although I always wonder what exactly compells anyone toward fame, I'm glad her wish came true.
Two important "lessons learned" :
(1) Classic "good looks" and ability aren't necessarily linked simply because our current superficial society demands that. (2) Persistence and self-knowledge PAYS.
Matteo Becucci is a great singer - I listened and watched it - the media powers have many many talents at their doostep - they choose the one that suits them - it's a luxury they exploit
Why are they dressing her up in all these interviews- she looks weird. What was wrong with the way she looked before? We are supposed to be learning a message here people, and Susan is teaching us this: that beauty is only skin deep. Unfortunately, the media seems to be diluting that message.
She dressed herself up? If she did for the interview, then why didn't she do it for the audition? I'm not "finding an argument". I'm just saying the reason people fell in love with her was because she can sing AND she wasn't hot like Escala. But no, she didn't dress herself up... she looks completely different in various interviews, and you're not about to convince me she's now a make up artist! I see your point, perhaps I'm being overcritical. But still...
people watch videos like this for the exact reason piers said she is amazing. we all need something to smile about. if watching susan sing can make people happy, even if it's just for a minute, how is that bad? we all need a break from reality every once and a while, especially since, as you say "America's going to hell"

She has got GREAT pitch to sing spontaneously like that with no backing...and it's not like that's an easy song.

Piers must not date Susan Boyle until after the "Britain's Got Talent" competition is concluded.
It will be deemed as "unfair bias" to the other contestants and, possibly, if the date does not go well...well, prejudice against Susan. I'm afraid that Piers may have to step down as a judge or, more likely, the wonderful Susan could be disqualified.
Just wait you two (Piers and Susan). Wait until you've won. Then, the best of luck to you both!
