  • how do you change the veiwing angle of the game?

  • Is this game worth it? And does it have skirmish vs AI?

  • @Xivliz It's definitely worth it. And it doesn't have the clean setup skirmish like other strategy games, but it does have bonus missions which are really fun, even more fun than skirmish imo.

If you play the mission called "Hutor" that would be the closest to skirmish.

  • is this a one man army or what?

  • How did you tackle the Panther at first? All i did was remove them Molotovs from the farmer's dead body and try my luck. I keep thinking "timing is of the essence" but every time the Panther turns in another direction, or the Molotov flys the wrong way. However, sometimes the Molotovs do come in useful. Once the second one i threw hit the armoured MG-34 car and drove into a tree near the road. The next scenes were unsightly, as the fire spread onto the road and burned the rest of the convoy. XD

  • This game is from 2004 Game it quit nice but i don have

  • wow, i used to play this game all the time back in 2004. i'm going to reinstall it now!

  • I'm very happy and surprised to say that I have completed S:HWW2, Campaign and Bonus Missions. Thanks LordCadbury as I used the armour tip to keep my tanks alive, immobolize enemies, then flank them to get a shot at the fuel tank. :D.

  • Congratz tiph49 :) I'm just wondering, which missions are your favorite? Mine were the ones from the British campaign, though I think most of the other ones are fine too. The British ones really have some great and unique gameplay (the airfield, lighthouse at the beginning).

  • i completed the game to quit hard though i like missions that u can blow up stuff!

  • You are very good to this game , but you past of five mission of UK campaign ?

  • @LordCadbury

  • @LordCadbury

I don't know how signal the plane to land in the large field .

I took the wood found (the 7 stacks of wood) I have spread via LAN, leam fuel burned but found nothing when trying to light up and the last, surprise: there were two stacks of wood fire behind me. and I finished everything but the last two missions, otherwise I finished the entire game.

  • I love S:HWW2 but I think it's really hard to people who haven't played many strategy games before. I remember the only mission I was able to get past was the first German mission and then in the second, I looked at my forces compared to the enemy's and nearly had a heart attack!

  • Haha, get used to it :) Actually, the second mission should be pretty easy especially with those Tigers. I'm assuming its the one with the convoy of tanks rite? Just make sure their frontal armor is facing the enemy. Most of the enemy shots should just bounce off. Use AP shells and you should pretty much oneshot kill the enemy. Wait till you'll see the other missions...

  • I loved the last Brithish mission, because of the ending to it that I did. I was about to fly off and I only had one man from Condor Squad left in a panzer I fuelled up and after the plane left, the enemy fighters started coming in, but I had the panzer in the center of the airfield, firing AP rounds and blowing up the planes. In the end I was swarmed and I saw the last fighter hovering above the ground and I fired an HE round at the thing, and it crashed into my tank, destroying the it. Great!

  • actualy this is reall great but your ambush didnt have much stealth u could used some bush to hide kill the panther first and then drive in to finish others

  • i did this mission, but i died when the AA truck came and ripped my armors

  • Haha, wait till you see whats in store for the "ambush" XD.

Anyway, besides using mines scattered around the map you can try to snipe the occupants of the AA truck. Be sure to move around though, the AA gun can take out your men in a single hit.

Capturing the AA truck intact may help you in handling the waves of enemy infantry and light vehicles later in the mission. Good luck.

  • I kept on trying to take out the crew of the AA car. But still my other men (Hinds and Mainsfield) end up damaging the truck. Still, sometimes the truck is damaged in a good position.

  • Getting that tracked AA can be tricky, but sure pays off when dealing with the hordes of "soft" target in the ambush later on. You should try and use small arms to take out the crew (to keep the AA intact) and open fire only when they're near, so you can take em all out in one sweep. Of course, one wrong move and your soldier's target practice :)

  • Yeah, i get the basic drift. The problem is i can't kill the crew WITHOUT the bllets hitting the body of the AA. Every time i hold the trigger down and next thing, its damaged. I like the Wrath of the Tiger campaign. It just seems so easy with the second-strongest tank in the game.

  • Bloody AI. Can't trust it now, can you? Just like in the Minefields level of the US campaign.

  • this game it's from 2004 and faces of war and men of war are sequel

  • looks a lot like company of heroes

  • Kind of :) In terms of graphics, CoH looks grittier and more realistic, while Soldiers opts for a more colorful palette. Though keep in mind that Soldiers came out way before CoH. In terms of gameplay, however, Soldiers closer to the Commandos series (if you're familiar with those games), but with lots of explosions! CoH, on the other hand, is mostly tactical squads.

  • @dinoboy567

the newest company of heroes game has a very similar effect as the manuel aim in this game
