This is sad and I will probably get a lot of dislikes, but when I first saw this movie in Spanish class, I never heard of Selena. But in class people were talking about how she died, and at the beginning of this scene in the movie, it looks so sad so I thought she was going to die then. Ok now look at me 2 years later and I can't stop singing this song and Ya Ves.

Oh my god a movie where J.Lo is actually good in! I was a huge fan of Jennifer when she did this and had high hopes for her, but than they were dashed when she decided to be a movie star and take crappy roles instead of being a actress. But this is the only movie I thought she was really great in because I really loved Selena and she was really amazing in this movie.

No, it was Selena's recordings. The point of making the movie. Jennifer is a singer. No singer would do "mimic" work.

Even Ross who did her own singing in "Lady Day" wouldn't do such a thing as to try and mimic Holiday. It's a tacky thing to do, unless you're just an actor, so it's less compromising to do such a performance.
