@ZooropaDweller come on man, judgement day is not a "loving arrangement" how can you be happy about this? if you arent a good enough follower then youll be tortured for 5 months by smoke locusts that come out of the ground right? how can you be excited about this day? when all of the earth will be littered with dead bodies. and there will be torturing everywher??? please, respond. i need to know some hard facts.
TheWhole9Yards1001, You quoted the verses from 'John's Revelation', a very specific part of the Bible. It is full of symbols, and just as that particular "Locusts" are not literal, it's just like those tortures (which means mental, spiritual pain of false religion leaders). God never wanted tortures to anybody, just as the doctrine of flaming hell is wrong and non-biblical. But He's ready to annihilate evil people one day,to change the situation on earth and restore the Paradise (Psalms37:9-11)
When our brain is dead - we really are totally unconcious. The point is - how the tradition of church explains 'hell'... However, the Bible shows that the Hell (or She'ol from Greek) is just a common grave of mankind, a symbolic place, not a place of fire tortures. (it explains how Jesus could be 'in the Hell' for 3 days of his death, why hurting faithful Jacob or Job wanted to 'already go rest in the hell', or how 'the hell' could be destroyed one day by God.)
Hi! Thank you for the vids! I just have a random question that was brought up, I hope you can help me answer. Compare Deut. 32:39 (read the first sentence). And again back to John 1:1. Deut. says there were no gods with Jehovah. And John says (in the beginning) Jesus was with God, and Jesus was a god. The King James makes more sense than the New World. I hope you can help me out! Thanks in advance!!
it's simple... Surely, there are no other God's, by full meaning of this word. Only one, almighty God, the Eternal, the Creator... However, at the Bible sometimes powerfull God's creatures are called 'gods', like God's Son - Jesus, some peoples, or even Satan (John 10:34-36, 2'nd to Cor.4:4).
I totaly don't understand how can You say that 'it's unbiblical'.Do You think that loving God wanted for mankind the suffering, growing old and dying? He told to Adam that he will die - but just if he revolt and sin. Sure that God may be ready for such a bad events- but people really could have life forever in perfect conditions, and really will do! And just shortly now- You should know that 'the world' in the Bible often means human community, and so the community was created by Adam's family.
