  • Tracy, thanks a lot for all of your videos, they're very interesting, and useful :)

  • Has anyone tried Yucca?

  • Is that a beer bottle in the back ground? Tisk Tisk...Joking!

  • haha.."she's actually evil"

  • Probiotics right?!?!?!

  • Tracy!

I started taking Accutane about 15 days ago. (I know! I know!)

For years I've put it off because I don't like drugs and I'm very health conscious, but I just got so fed up! Not long after, I found you! And you inspired me (along with a number of other articles online) to try going dairy free (again). I'd tried it in the past and noticed improvement, but I was too eager for a quick fix. Question. Will being on Accutane slow down my no dairy results? I'm doing both right now. I want off!

  • @Voltechs Hi there! Sorry, I don't know whether or not being on accutane will cause you to not see results from cutting out dairy.... I wouldn't think so though.

  • your eyes is beautiful....

  • Should males drink Peppermint or Spearmint tea?

  • what do you think about soy milk? I love drinking soy milk, because a lot of people say soy milk is good for skin. My bad diet habit is eating a lot of sugary food :/.

  • @anastasia92karenina Soy is a very unhealthful food, so I don't recommend it. Many people have allergies to soy that cause their acne. I don't recommend sugar either!

  • Hey, I love your book! I bought it recently and have been making small gradual changes in my lifestyle/diet, and I've already noticed an improvement in my acne. I was wondering what you think, in addition to these tips, about taking evening primrose oil and/or olive leaf extract to help regulate hormones? I recently went off the birth control pill (which I'm sure is contributing to my acne problem) and I read that these supplements can help balance hormones that are out of whack. Thanks!!

  • @anna7132 Hi Anna! I believe those can help, but you really have no idea if they will help you specifically unless you get your hormones tested! But you can try them

  • @thelovevitamin does yogurt drinks cause acne too?

  • @observerinpink Yes, commercial cows isn't good for acne either... you might be able to get away with organic goat's yogurt though. Or any yogurt or kefir made from raw milk is okay and even good for acne due to its probiotic content and low lactose levels. Sorry - it's not very cut and dry, unfortunately.

  • Soy is not really the problem, Asians have wonderful skin and eat a lot of soy! There is a similar structure in soy to estrogen but it is NOTHING like estrogen. Real estrogen is a million times stronger and no, it does not negatively effect males. These ideas were invented by the dairy/meat industry to drive people away from soy.

The problem is pesticides, meats, and dairy for sure though. The estrogen in cheese/dairy is insane. I'm vegan raw foodist but I still get premenstrual acne regardless

  • I don't eat meat.. But I need soy as a part of my protein role... How can I make that work so it doesn't break me out ad much?

  • @apiw1 If you are going to eat soy, it's best consumed in its organic fermented form - natto, tempeh, that kind of thing. Way easier to digest - don't know about the hormones, but it's less allergenic that way

  • Thanks hun,

I've been having lots of soya milk with my SOYA protein shakes and have come out in acne on my chin! Not good! xx

  • @TheLipstickhippie Yep soy is not good for acne! or your health!

  • @thelovevitamin soy is good for your health...

  • @MrBaseballfan11 soy is bad, it's overly processed and it harder to digest and break down into nutrients, and if your a guy and you eat soy which has estrogen in it, the estrogen will counter male growth etc

  • @matthew4892 wouldn't this good for women who want bigger breasts cos of estrogen in soy?

  • i have menstrual acne they use to come in my chest now it on my draw line and chin and i do not dirk milk but a lot of pepsi i exercise a little but every month i get these huge bumps and when they go down they leave black marks what should i do

  • @53meash Well, I bet there is plenty of room for lifestyle improvements still - stopping pepsi would be huge! Make sure you visit my blog - there's lots of guidance there

  • So I had heard that milk unbalanced your hormones so I stopped drinking that so I switched to soy milk and yogurt. But soy causes imbalance too so I just wanna know I one of them causes less imbalance

  • @Fruitytutty333 Just drink almond or rice milk instead

  • anyone else see the dog take food of the dresser? haha

  • @TaylorAlma Hahaha! I died laughing, I looked up and saw that happen right after I read your comment!

  • I did not have acne until I started taking birth control. I used NuvaRing for 3 months and then stopped because my acne got so bad. I have been off of it for 3 months now and my acne has not gone away. Any advice for me?

  • @dermlover1 Look into taking a supplement called vitex... it seems to help a lot of women balance their hormones which cause acne after birth control!

  • Are you high in the video??

  • I am a girl (17) and I am positive I have hormonal imbalance -missed periods, acne :/ ... would you recommend me getting prescribed on something like birth-control pills, idk if i should, I'm kinda scared of medications :P

    P.s. Lovely advice, I subscribed! :)

  • @0dontspeak I wouldn't really recommend the birth control pill for sorting out a hormonal imbalance... it would probably work, but it's not fixing the problem, it's just covering it up. Then acne usually returns even worse after you go off it. I'd recommend seeing if you can get a saliva hormone test that shows you exactly where your hormones are at and then you can take supplements that will balance them naturally :)

  • @thelovevitamin it definitely does return worse, i had to get on birth control for extreme cramps. And when my insurance was canceled and i ran out of birth control, i had worse acne than i have ever had in my life.

  • Beautiful blue eyes.

  • @kaobasa Why thank you! :)

  • Yep, I think acne is very often related to allergic food reactions!

  • breaking out can be a allergic reaction to food. i found that out with soy(and stay away from it completely). but evening primrose oil helps my skin with my period.

  • This is so helpful! Thank you so much :)

  • hahahah im eating nachos right now lol

  • hey tangerine or tracy, ur very awasome, so u know :3

but can u please tell in simple terms, how much iyo of good fats u should be consuming per day, like measuring in grams approx? or u have to follow certain ratio against amount of vegetables u eat? tia

  • @MortieTheDoomed Hi Tia... thanks so much for subbing! :)

I actually don't know how many grams specifically, I've never really been one to measure food out exactly. I just eat as much healthy fat as I feel like and on a typical day, I have like 3/4 of my dinner plate steamed vegetables and salads with butter, tahini, olive oil, etc... and then 1/4 of the meal is a medium sized piece of meat. Different people feel better with different ratios of fats to carbs to proteins, so there's no rule.

  • in total agreement! great video - my cycle normalised and my acne cleared on a natural, no-grain, dog-walking lifestyle... sorting out hormones is really important :)

  • @alissaevelyn Yes, you are awesome Alissa :)

  • Girl you are amazing, I have a 3 year battle with acne and this is helping already <3

  • I have this

  • wow this really helped me

  • That is a reeeaally cute dog!!
