  • beautiful. you have the voice of an angel. thank you so much for sharing this. it is one of my favorite songs, and i have always wanted to play it on the autoharp, but i am just beginning and have very little music sense.

would you be willing to share the fingerings? i'd love to play this for the man who saved my life.

  • this is quite lovely... you have a very pleasant voice too. Good job!

  • Nicely done :-)

  • This was SO pretty. I like how you put your own spin on the melody. :)

  • it is lovely to hear you play and sing this!

  • I would love to sing this with you. Give me a few years to learn the guitar, and we'll go, okay? J/K, but you did very well with the song and music, and I give you thumbs up adn kudos aneverything else.

  • My pleasure!

  • Michael McKean has got to hear this (since he wrote it). He would be SO proud.

  • A great version of a great song.

  • love this song

  • You have a sweet singing voice and I enjoyed your playing too.

  • Wow. Very impressive! I love A Mighty Wind, and I really liked your arrangement of this song, it was very pretty. Well done!

  • Yay, good for you for picking up an obscure instrument and learning to play it well!

And a great song to pick as well! Next, you should learn, "When you're next to me" by Eugene Levy, a song that he wrote for a Mighty Wind.

  • yeah, when people say i'm amazing or something when i play guitar, bass, and piano, im like, "what about the people who play the harp", or some 'obscure' instrument.

you are great at this instrument, and your singing is really beautiful.

  • Beautiful.I love an autoharp. You play it well.

  • haha, this is awesome! i play the autoharp but i only saw A Mighty Wind a few weeks ago. my friend sent me the sheet music and this has been on my list of songs to learn. you do a great job with it!

  • The only reason Catherine O'Hara plays the autoharp is because she was cast for the role of Mickey in this movie. She learned for the role. Also, O'Hara is an actress, not a singer. She did a fantastic job, but it is no stretch that this young lady can outsing her any day of the week

  • What do you mean? Catherine O'Hara also sang in the Nightmare Before Christmas. It's not like a Mighty Wind was her first singing role or anything.

  • great

  • This was really nice - I love this song, although it's not very old - it's still timeless.

Your voice is lovely and honest.. hope to hear more from you :)

  • this is so beautiful, thank you

  • You do have a beautiful voice, I love the autoharp would like to know what you think of us sometime. PEACE

  • i agree with everyone... amazing job here

  • It takes serious SKILL to play the autoharp and sing at the SAME TIME! fabulous job

  • Janepaddy, you have a lovely voice. A very Happy Valentine's day. I sent it friends and family to hear you sing!

  • Exellent Job!!! I still listen to the whole soundtrack and its one of the best soundtracks for a movie in years! You have great talent and voice

  • hell yes, girl!

  • I could listen to you all day. You're amazing!

  • That was beautiful!

  • you are amazing!

  • Loved it - I think I liked your version better than the original - great job

  • It is very good, and it has a certain amateurish charm, but it's a stretch to say that it's better than Catherine O'Hara (who also plays the autoharp). I think it's better as a duet and a but of guitar makes the autoharp sound even better.

  • This is one of the sweetest love songs ever, and you have made it even more beautiful. Thank you.

  • Omg. I love you! Will you marry me?

  • Lovely. Great.

  • hey good one

  • beautiful... I actually cried a little... i am honestly moved right now

  • Amazing, isn't it? How a song written as part of a "joke" is actually very moving and powerful. My fiancee died almost two years ago, and as she lay in her hospital bed, fading, I sang this song to her over and over. Thank you for sharing your talent, in this lovely rendition.

  • Very nice. Thank you for sharing. :)

  • nice one!

  • I.love.you.;)

  • wow.really good job.I'm very impressed.THANK YOU.

  • I really enjoy listening to you and your music. Thank you. William Cerf, Brooklyn, NY USA

  • Well, Jane, your fame has now got to Australia! Your singing and playing is just beautiful; better than the original from the film. I look forward to seeing what you do in future.......more videos please!

Do you know Kris Kristofferson's "The Hiring Fair"? I 'm sure you'd like that one....also Sting's "Fields of Gold".....

See; you're getting requests now! Well done.

  • Very sweet! You did a great job. Thanks for brightening up my rainy day. :)

  • Hey...you did the song justice..in every way...great playing and sweet voice..congratulations...got a guy to sing the other part?

  • Great Job, Lovely sounding instrument.

  • Good job! It sounds really sweet, the way this awesome song should.
