  • I am a Ron Paul supporter. I don't think that its fair for me to unsubscribe you. I enjoy your videos and I respect your opinions. I will not shove Ron Paul down your throat, I don't find that respectful at all.

I am an Atheist and skeptic first. The truth about Ron Paul is he might turn out to be the worst president we've ever had. But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt for now. After him I'm done with this shit! I never gave a fuck about politics before and I can do the same.

  • @Kyosama08 Ron Paul didn't vote against the act, but he would have voted against the civil rights act, and does think business owners have the right to sexually harass employees, and to discriminate against them in pay and services based on race and gender, and that getting rid of all the regulations like food and worker safety laws is preferable to enforcing the regulations and ending their ability to pay them off through fines, he also wants to repeal birth right citizenship. Ect.

  • Don't let any of the NDAA prevent you from going to the US. Nothing like that will happen to you. Don't panic on that account. But DO panic on the prospect of being sodomized by TSA agents if they can't read your tooth paste tube. That's a real possibility.

  • Why on earth would you want to go to the USA? Are you crazy? lol

  • well that sucks.... had you come to america one day I know Kiara would have loved to have met you.... guess you won't ever get a real Godzilla Hug eh? She will just have to keep watching you on youtube then. Take care man.

  • I know the feeling Vogter, he NDAA basically declares open season on anyone who isn't a citizen, and despite careful wording trying to disguise it, allows rendition and indefinite detention of citizens as well.

I'm half arab and grew up outside the country so I've been nervous since the Patriot Act, now there's this shit, I want to get out of the country but I don't have enough saved up yet.

  • @Laughingblades The patroit act had it's abuses especialy under W Bush ,that never made the news , one I have knowlege of was two postal workers argueing politics ,democrat republican when one said ''that someone ought to kill W '' no direct threat or anything well the republican droped a dime on the democrat under the patroit act.. The FBI showed handcuffed the guy ,interogated and embarresed him.. Political intemidation by patroit act ! With the patroit act &NDAA I'm nervous...

  • Sorry that you've given up your dream of traveling across the U.S. by bike, but I must say I don't blame you.

Hope the meds kill off the pneumonia soon.

  • My friend I think you are looking at this the wrong way. I live in America and yes there are problems but what you think will happen to you if you make visit is really not likely to happen. No one is going to detain you if you come here. Oh and you need not worry about Ron Paul the man is insane, he will never get elected. At the same time though it's a bit ironic that the majority of the occupy movement you've been supporting heavily supports Ron Paul.

  • First of all what the hell does SOPA have to do with the NDAA? Also, unless you're involved in terrorist activities or an Al Queda operative the USG couldn't give a fuck about you. I also wasn't aware that political organizing is now considered 'combat'. Sorry Vogter but if any bureaucrat at the State Dept looked over your visa application it would more likely just bring about a big yawn than a red flag. Probably put him to sleep if he read it after lunch. You're just not that important

  • @cehbeach Fuck off troll.

  • Enemy combatant? Are you kidding me? Any evidence of that?

  • @Anghellik9 Read the NDAA

  • @Vogter616 Quote me the subsection that you think will get you arrested.

  • @Anghellik9 all they need to do is acuse me of being Al Qaeda and bang Im detained.

  • @Vogter616 Actually anyone they want to, all it takes is some low level fucktard to get pissed over upseting the status quoe of the apple cart , that includes American citizens !.. Canada or S America is starting to look atractive , shit Russia probably couldn't be any worse.. peace

  • @Anghellik9 it is more comoplex than just one sentence. But read subsection 1031 -1032

  • @Vogter616 Section 1031 contans nothing about detainment. At all. It mandates quarterly briefings for the Congressional Defence Committee.

Section 1032 gives definition for what a "safe haven" is, in regards to COIN.

  • @Anghellik9 Namely H.R. 1540 (National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012) and H.R. 2055 (Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2012), whereby the indefinite detention without trial or charge for foreign nationals, legal aliens, and US citizens has now been made into law.

Also, with both H.R. 3166 (Enemy Expatriation Act: House of Representatives) and S. 1698 (Enemy Expatriation Act: Senate) launched October 12, 2011

  • Why would you want to travel to the USA when you can travel to the workers' paradise known as the DPRK?

  • @ChairmanNuke LOL

  • Hope you feel better man. I think you are being a little over the top here Vogter. I am pretty sure, no one would arrest you over here, or else I would already be in jail. :)) If you do decide to visit someday, let me know. You'd have a place to stay in Maine. Bear in mind, that the majority of people over here, are not the problem. The big business and corrupt Politicians are the real problem. Majority of Americans are upset over the situation here. The reason for occupy Wallstreet movement.

  • @SnowWalkerPrime I sure hope I am over the top :-)

And thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on that. It would be an honor and a privilge to shake your hand and hug you man :)

  • Ron Paul for PRESIDENT!!!! ;p

  • @SnowWalkerPrime ouch.. LOL

  • You call all Ron Paul fans idiots...nice ad hominem attack. You have little or no intellect when all you have complaints about militarized police, NDAA, SOPA, and yet think Ron Paul is an idiot. He opposes all of that! You're the "fundie" you seem to call everyone else...your a fundamental leftist who can't see past Party or one or two stupid social issues that people don't agree with you on. Our leftist President is signing SOPA and the nDAA into law! Man, you're a dogmatic. Left/Right = BS.

  • @ProIndividual And yes that's full of grammatical errors and spelling typos..but you always know the exact right way to piss me off with your hypocrisy! Man, I wish people like you could see your own dogma for what it is, and face down your sophism. Good luck in life...get well soon (I mean that, I don't wish any illness on you at all, even if I think you're nuts).

  • @ProIndividual " I wish people like you could see your own dogma for what it is, and face down your sophism." Funnily enough, we would say the same to you :/

You do have dogmatic beliefs, yours is clearly in the primacy of property rights and laissez-faire capitalism. It seems a fairly common position in the states, but strangely not in Europe. Ever wonder why that might be? The welfare state was created for a reason, that being the failure of the market to create fair conditions for all.

  • @ProIndividual Well As I dissagree with around 75% of everthing that piss ant stands for you cant expect me to pormote him!

  • @ProIndividual Maybe not idiots but ill informed , some of Pauls ideas are ok and the other half of them stink of a corporate facist eutopia.. I suggest you check out who was contained in his former Texas 22 congressonal dist , big oil BP for one and "Koch" types in the Sugarland Bay Town aera ,and as senator I'm sure he's still on their dole..

  • Get better V. I don't blame you for staying away. USA is sucking a big donkey dick lately.

  • Sorry to hear you were so ill. Sounded really serious. It's like the Americans are blind and just don't care what's going on. Not all of them; but most seem oblivious.

  • @alienbaroque well danes are as oblivious most of them.. *sigh*

  • Get better Tomas!

  • @MrWajax well I am actualy YEAH! :) not totaly there but getting closer by the day.

  • @Vogter616 :)

  • Wait till after the 2012 elections. The republicans have made such fools of themselves, that they're bound to vote for the democrats thereby giving the congress back to the rational people.

  • @Hereticbooks The Democrips and RepubliBloods are not rational...they're sociopaths. How's the NDAA, SOPA, mass murder of foreignors, torture, warrantless wiretaps, non-stop drug war, and all the rest of the police state BS been for ya? Because your precious false paragigm has fed it to us...passed by one side, supported by the other. If you support black and white thinking you are exhibiting a literal symptom of psychopathy. Both sides blow, wake up or be a tool for fascism.

  • @ProIndividual

Nevertheless, if I either don't vote, or vote for an independent candidate, that would be the same as a vote for the Republicans. I can't bring myself to do that.

  • LOL, always so dramatic xD

I had pneumonia about a month ago and it sucked, Im glad you are getting better. The bugs just keep getting worse. Keep resting.

  • If you don't come to America you won't get to meet BigBossCalvin in real life.

  • Good choice. Why would you want to visit the garbage compactor of the world? The disgusting hamburger shit eating, piss beer drinking, redneck, hill billy, racist, bible thumping, retarded goat fuckers of the world do not need attention from you.

  • I think Canada is a good choice to visit, if you do it soon, before our conservative religious goverment finishes the job of turning us into what George Bush thought the USA should be. Get well and visit us soon.

  • This is great news! great. don't come to America, I know there is some things I don't like here in USA but at least its not like certain countries! so this is amazing news, as for Ron Paul, I don't like his foreign policy, there is a couple people I like, I'd wish Sarah Palin would run, but she may not, so its Michelle Bachmann, unless someone else will step up.

  • @BlobQueenAt32000 go screw yourself. I thought this post was a fluke becasue you are off your meds.. but I am not standing for shit like this from a former friend now turned intoa treacherous cunt.

  • @Vogter616 get better dude! But count yourself lucky that your country has better life insurance than mine (United States of Corporations), because if I got as sick as you.....I would just die.

  • @DeadMarine1980 I know man and it saddens me that a 'modern' country does not have universal healthcare. It is just so 2 centuries ago seen from here..

  • Bli frisk!

I have been denied entrance to the US. I was politically active in my youth and that is still, over 30 years later, stoping me. Tried last summer.

I was (and still am) an active socialist (no, that is NOT communism, read a book) so I´m in all kinds of registers here in Sweden and some other countries.

Never mind. Canada or Australia is good enough for me. :)

  • You need to rest up and get better or you won't be going anywhere again! Pneumonia is serious, and the last time I had it I was in the hospital for 15 days--I was only in the hospital for 3 days for a heart attack.

I would love to meet you but I totally understand your reasoning.

  • Maybe you should be inviting american friends over there?

  • its pretty ironic...its Germany all over again and no one see's it. Just like the Germans didn't see it.

  • I am scared of my Country. Got any room over there in Norway?

  • Sorry to say that the majority of Americans I speak to on a regular basis act and react like sheep. They obsess about pointless media (cult of personality) garbage and believe that Obama and now this Paul fellow can save their arses. They sit around HOPING that others will fix their country, whilst the opposite is in effect.

And they ONLY have themselves to blame.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke

    Let the hate begin...

  • hope your health improves mate.

as for the rest, i'm american, and i don't even wanna go back.

  • Best wishes and good health, Vogter. Hope you get well fast.

BTW, as someone who had the 'privilege' of enjoying the blessings of totalitarian communism, I understand your feelings all too well.

It's mind-boggling to me that Americans stand still for this fascist takeover.

When their Congress wants to legalize "disappearances" like S. American juntas and ppl still stay home and watch TV ... game over.

  • @hyperboreean Thanks. Precisely. I am not taking any chances. I got two old parents and a son to care for still. And my parents fled Hungary in '56 to a free country. They almost went to USA. If they had, I know my mom would be scared shitless now.

  • I don't get how any of this relates to Ron Paul. You've known me a while now Guardian and will know we stand in agreement on most issues. I would be last to identify my (complex) political opinions as Republican or Conservative. Ron Paul is the only guy who has objected to all the wars, wants rid of the Fed and to get government down to size and mostly out of people's lives ... isn't that what /most/ people want at this stage? Haven't we had enough of debt, being nannied and robbed by them?

  • @fuckoverload sure but RP is not the answer. As the presidency is not the problem. It is the congress with 20 or 30 lobbyists pr. congress member that is the problem. Can he clean that up? I seriously doubt it. Lobbyism as USA does is deamed corruption here, epspecialy as it lack any kind of transparancy since companies became humans with rights.

  • :(

  • Maybe we Americans can visit you someday?

  • @TheAvaloth You would be very welcome :)

  • Do panic!

  • I don't think anyone running are worth my vote. I used to support paul but I've been hearing about how he's afraid of gays, wants to remove social security, medicare, and madicaid. That alone is enough for me to turn my back on him. Plus theres the whole "gold standard" thing. Gold has no value that we didn't place on it so it's no more valuable then the paper we use now.

  • Ron Paul isnt as crazy as his other Republican opponents. At least he has a couple good ideas. The other candidates have nothing. But i still would not vote for Ron Paul or any other one of them nuts. Even if Paul was elected, his whacky plans would never be passed. Presidents of the US have little power. They are nothing more than a message boy for the US congress. Obama will be reelected due to the clan of nutcases running against him. At this point, Obama doesnt even have to try lol.

  • and sorry that you've been so ill. get better, my friend.

  • As bad as those things are, it's not quite so bad on a day-to-day basis as it might seem in the media.

I don't think anyone would take you away.

But if you do go to Canada, I can try to make it up there to meet up with you. Also, I'm going to be in York, England in February for the meetup. I hope you'll be there.

  • The problem is this: who do we have left to choose from to pick for a candidate? Let's run down the list: Obama: too weak politically and probably bought out. Romney: bought. Gingrich: a total scumbag and bought. Bachmann: a total idiot and bought. Santorum: a stooge and most definitely bought. So we have Statesman and Ron Paul left; Statesman is probably the most realistic of the GOP, but unknown and will probably lose the nomination. So... what exactly do we do here?

  • @TheShoguneagle My mistake; it's Huntsman.

  • You poor man! Keep resting and recover soon.

  • @AuntieDiluvian thanks Roz :)

  • First, just get better. It's all that matters at this point.

Second, and I say this with love, you have no idea what's going on in the US (good or bad). You would have no problem getting in, and once here for any length of time, you would never be the same (good or bad). The size and scope of the places, the people, history, and cultures, is something that even most Americans can't conceive of. If it makes you feel better, google "Solvang, California"

    Don't panic (too much).

  • @ravenslaves as they want my fingerprints for the visa, Im not going. WTF do they want fingerprints for? Next thing is DNA sample and then a chips shot inot my neck and a bar code tattooed on my arm.. or a number.. get it?

  • Get feeling better!

  • Glad you're feeling better Vog, I had pneumonia once and it sucked.

The ways things are going here in USA, you may meet me someday in Switzerland (or Bahamas).

Not long ago, on Interstate 80, I seen one car, stopped by about six cop cars/SUVs.

The door panels were being removed and a dog was circling the car. Drug war. The creepy thing about this was they did not look like cops, they resembled a SEAL or SAS team. Oh well...

  • Agreed, Ron Paul and his cult army are fucking idiots.

And you should only visit the United States if you want to study the transformation of a developed country back into a developing country. I live here and that's what's happening right now.

  • @whatisahumans He he realy, I agree 100 % btw .. Paul is playing a little grifter snake oil shell game on his fans, promiseing personal fredom while giveing the facist corporate elite even more freedom to pillage ,pollute ,outsorce jobs and what ever they want.. A vote for Paul is for a return to the 1800s goverment wise alowing America to become a facist polluted squaller.. MoRon is a regressive halfwit cretin grifter..

  • @kamphwagon1 Perfectly stated.

  • If you go to Canada you can visit me, I'm practically right on the border

  • I don't blame you, I wouldn't go back either if I didn't have family there. Unfortunately I'm from America so it doesn't matter where I live or travel to, this act still applies to me. But I'm in Canada for now so that's something.

  • Sorry to hear you are not well. Get better fast man!

And come to Canada, but be sure to come in the summer. The winters get a little chilly!

  • @CanadienAtheist oh yeah.. summer.. offf course. I hate cold.

  • Come down to Australia mate, I've got plenty of room at my place.

  • Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather. Take care of thee. : )

  • I'm with you on that one - it's bad enough that I live in Canada and have to put up with the stench of sewage called the US on a daily basis. I wouldn't set foot in that nation for anything . . . I'm deathly allergic to authoritarian regimes of any shade - and my allergic reaction would be detrimental to any figure of authority standing within site. The US really fucked up the experiment by letting sociopathic delusionists run their country into the ground. Farewell.

  • I'm glad your on the mend. Heal up, so you can continue raising Hell. Don't panic. :)

  • come to uk . its cheaper

  • @jmm1233 :-)

  • I went to San Francisco in 2011 twice, its very friendly, the airport security thing is a lot friendlier than you would think, though the queues are tiring after a long flight. I think you are being quite paranoid, if the US don't fancy you (this would be if you have been convicted of a certain number of crimes or have a nasty disease) they would just send you back, the last thing they would want to do is keep you. From the UK I traveled using an ESTA VISA Waiver. I would love to go again.

  • @nephthysuk yeah but I kickstarted Occupy in Denmark.

  • Take care, that's nasty. *hug*

  • I hope you get better soon, apparently Tulsi Oil, vitamin C and Zinc are all good to get over Pneumonia. Herbs that are natural antibiotics are approved of by the medical profession are: Lavender, basil, rosemary, horseradish, kelp, golden seal,Echinacea and garlic.

  • @66Shellz Im eating garlic with a spoon, c-vitamins by eating shitloads of oranges :-) And soup to make me sweat.

  • @Vogter616 You need Zinc for your immune system, if you smoke you need more vitamin C in your body because tobacco smoke kills off Vit C, potatoes have more vitamin c than orange and the herb parsley has 3 times more vitamin c than potato. You could top vitamin c up, along with the oranges, with tablets or effervescent tablets that you put in water for a fizzy drink. Don't drink brandy for sore throat with pneumonia, crush cloves in hot water , gargle and drink sips of it, that will soothe it.

  • go bedring vogter :)

    godt nytår og go bedring

  • It's a shame you don't want to ride a motorbike through the USA, I could just see you and Shockofgod tearing up the interstate.

  • @AtheistAussie LOL AraonRa actualy offered me shelter in Texas :-)

But you are one of the aussies I'd visit if I went down under :)

  • @N0nC0nF0rMi5T That is why I say (to the PaulBots who are all about corporation approved "freedom")- "WHICH "Congressman Ron Paul" are we talking about? There are 3 corporations traded by that name on the D&B Database. Is it the multi-millionaire one?". Federal Code-Title 28->SubSection 3002 (Definitions)- (10) “Person” includes a natural person (including an individual Indian), a corporation,...any other public or private entity, including a State or local government...".

  • @N0nC0nF0rMi5T Also my favorite (from Title 28, SubSection 3002)- (15) “United States” means— (A) a Federal corporation;...

  • Get well soon, Vogter.

  • They do seem to be emulating the communist countries they've been afraid of for many decades. "Papers please". Now citizens have to watch out for American "KGB" agents also.

  • @Lynx787 'Papieren bitte' and if you dont move fast, here comes Geheime Stats Polizei

  • Funny how you talk about your illness and you having friends in Canada, because our healthcare system is a fucking joke. So if you come to Canada, don't get sick.

  • I'll explain if you want. Although my experiences with the idiotic healthcare system is quite personal.

  • SOPA will affect the entire world. I live in Canada, but my blog is hosted by American company. Despite the lack of views of my blog, that could be taken down for bullshit reasons.

  • Get better soon V

  • Oh... V! I justmhope you are ok. I send my love...

  • Ron Paul is a desperation candidate. If one really pays attention you will see that he will not improve things in the States, not at all.

I can't travel through the States, would be arrested at the border. Fortunately I have zero desire to visit such a strange, crazy, and dangerous country. It reminds me of Germany in the late twenties and very early thirties.

I don't trust ANY American politicians. He is certainly brighter than the other Repugs but that is all I can say for him.

  • who do you think is trying to save us from everything your talking about? RON PAUL! you idiot

  • @stacystacs yeah right and you believe in Santa too I guess.

  • @Vogter616 I can't blame you or anyone else for not wanting to come to AmeriKKKa.

  • He's as queer as blazes! „

  • If Paul was to leave outlawing abortion to the individual states, how would that solve anything? All it would cause was abortion tourism. Women in distress would have to travel to a different state, causing even more stress. They could barely have an abortion and keep it to themself because people would ask questions. If the religious majority in a state voted to outlaw abortion, how would that be better than the national government allowing it for all? Is regional mob rule to be preferred?

  • @blackwolf1200 Regional mob rule...yeah, that's the libertarian credo in a nutshell. Ron the Fundietard is a dyed-in-the-wool republican. The only freedom that matters to him is his (And his obscenely wealthy puppeteer, Grover Norquist).

  • I'd never cast a vote for Ron Paul, but you have to admit that he is the only politician running for president that cannot be bought.

  • I'm not interested in traveling to third world countries either.

  • @JoesephKatana LOL.Brilliant remark!

  • Get ready for the onslaught of Ron Paulbots! And people should probably remember to give this video a "thumbs up" to counteract the downvoting by the cult of Ron Paul.

  • I was working on a bit of fiction where the US crosses the line one to many times with it's "World Police" actions and another country or group of them go to war with the US and kick there butt forcing them into non interference. The US uses this as an excuse to suppress more freedom for it's people which ends up resulting in riots across the nation which eventually spread to protests and rioting in other countries with similarly repressive laws.

  • even though I am against all of these new neo-fascistic things going on in USA I think you might be a bit paranoid :)

I dont think they will start locking up random people who simply disagree with them.

  • @gulbirk well I am not just anybody. I kickstarted Occupy in Denmark. Was in the news and all. And countries that smell of fascism wont get any of my money.

  • @gulbirk If they have the authority, they will use it. You are being naive my friend.

  • @gulbirk Oh, believe me, V is not random :-)

    Cheers

  • Get well soon brother and very wise to stay the hell out of America for the time being. If you every make it down to New Zealand I will buy you a beer or three :-)

  • @stonehartfloydfan thanks man :)

  • Get well pal. Yeah, All is understood about the political crap here in the U.S.Obama has been a huge disappointment and his competition is even less desirable. the problems seem to be that all the leaders here are bought and paid for by the corporations and big money interests and the politician that is not bought and paid for is an idiot who has his own special definition for the term "Constitutional".

  • There will hardly be any progression in the United States if they either elect Ron Paul or (God forbid) Barack Obama. It's a choice between a crazy douche and a Nazi turd. I wish just for once they elect a president who is level headed and care for the people. It's times like these I wish John F Kennedy was alive........

    Get well soon :)

  • sorry your sick dude, if i was going to go to america on holiday or to live there san fransico would be my first choice too. yeah the american dream is truly dead

  • Feel better soon

  • Dude, research more about Ron Paul's platform. He's against NDAA, he's against SOPA, He's against militarization of police, He's against CIA assassination, and he understands what caused occupy movement.

  • @danshyu he's also against abortion, treats the constitution like the bible and for the golden standard which will make the US economy worse......

  • @MrSoprano0125 He's against abortion but believes the fed has no right to ban it for all stats. Treat the constitution like the bible? Well the reason we have NDAA and SOPA is precisly BECAUSE government have stopped taking the constitution to heart. As for gold standard, that can be discussed for sure. But the reason Vogter didn't wanna visit US is because he fear it's turning into a totalitarian police state, not the possibility of failed US economy.

  • @danshyu prevcisely why I dont dream of that journey anymore.

  • @danshyu he also thinks creationism should be taught in sicence class.. and he want to get rid of ALL social programmes in USA and shitloads of more shit..

  • @Vogter616 Okay the bit about creationism is bullshit, he never said it should be taught in SCIENCE class. And yes, he wants to get rid of social programmes, but by either phasing it out slowly (ability to opt out of social security), or just by reducing the program's size. Let's be fair here, the social program in USA is nothing short of a big pile of mess. Hell I'm mostly a democrate, probably not gonna vote the guy. But I definitly won't call hime or people supporting him stupid

  • @danshyu Sorry but I've read SO DAMN many reasons not to vote for him either. just another american politcian.. he is not the messia as so many seem to think. He is not the solution, he is part of the problem.

in my eyes USA should have a revolution or a total reform of everything.. and get a whole new system in place.

  • @Vogter616 It really depends on where you read your bits about the guy. I really don't wanna go consipracy nutjob here but it has became really obvious that the mainstream media generally don't like him. Most bloggers and other none-mainstream news source are generally in favor of the guy. So instead of a lying politician looking for political gains, he's a genuine but crazy guy who believes in his cause (the cause is actually not too crazy). And that's a quality many people respect.

  • @Vogter616 I've read of so many damn reasons to vote for people who never go ahead with what they say. If the system's going to blow itself up, may as well be with Ron Paul as with anyone else. I like some of his ideas, and don't like some of his others. Don't know of anyone I haven't felt that way about. Are you looking for a messia? If he is "just another american politician", wouldn't you expect his principles to change over time? Good or bad? I'll say yes and no. I don't think he'll win.

  • @Vogter616 There is a huge difference from what you read and what you actually hear and see. If your basing anything on what you read, Please go look in the mirror. The idiot standing before you isn't going to have a smiling face looking back at you.

Nothing should be more proving to who a person really is then what they have been saying for many years. I haven't heard of him being called the messiah except the propaganda media. You don't have to like him that's your decision.

  • @Vogter616 In politics for 25 years and voteing with the RWers also the start of the Teabaggers that got co oped by all the neo cons and religous fundies ,yeah he's part of the problem.. His deception is personal freedoms , a mere apeasement to his fans as he would turn the corporate facisim machine into high gear with his outdated ideas about goverment.. Just to listen to his ramblings he comes off as a delusional idiot who thinks he has a working time machine.. :) peace

  • @danshyu "by either phasing it out slowly (ability to opt out of social security)"

Do you not see the rather large problem with that? "opt-out" social security? If people simply chose not to pay it, that would render the system entirely useless, even for those paying into it.

I wouldn't personally call Paul an idiot. But he's not very smart either. His views on science, women's rights, etc, are also decidedly 1900's in nature.

  • @pamew He's planning to pay for the social security for the time being with the money saved from withdrawing all the US bases around the world (though whither that's a good move or not is up to discussion). Which according to most experts, will be enough to cover it. He also wants to end corporate dealings with the government to bring about actual free market instead of government sanctioned corporatism we currently have. In term, should bring about good health care (supposely).

  • Conversely, I may land on Danish shores as a politically oppressed refugee from the U.S. Get well soon man.

  • @GrandePresidente

    You and me both.

  • That's kinda sad. Yeah, America is getting screwed up.

I hope you begin to feel MUCH better!!

If you ever DO decide to get this way, I'm only a few hours north of San Fran.

Giant Redwoods and stupendous ocean views await you.

Be sure to contact me. I'd love to show you America's best stuff....while it lasts.

  • @TalladegaTom the giant redwoods would be one of the things I would want to see.
