I took it last yeart and got a 12 hahaha..but I took it again and I got 29 I was upset and on the other a little bit happy because my score boosted up..I didn't study when I first took it the second time I took it studied but the book that I used didn't help me at all the princeton cracking the asvab..now I switch to another book asvab for dummies
I agree with you but my problem was I didn't give myself enough time to study. You were slightly off on the ASVAB wait period. It's one month wait for the second time and another 1 month wait the 3rd and after that it's 6 months. Anyways good luck for the next time you take it I know imma need it.
@Julian65465 I scored a very crappy score so I won't even embarrass myself LOL. It was enough to be eligible for the af and get a job so I'm okay. I could take it again but I dont feel like it haha. Wish you lots of luck speaking to your recruiter though :)
@Julian65465 It's really not that bad lol. I went with my mom after the 3rd time. . . but I originally spoke to them on my own. I was fortunate enough to meet nice recruiters so that makes the process easier. Usually they're really nice b/c they want you to sign up lol.
The first time I took the ASVAB was during my Jr in HS
and i scored a 22! : / So havent taken it since but think i should be ready by the end of march to go get a recuiter from the Air Force and just get it over with!!
@Julian65465 I wish I took it during high school, I would've been way more prepared and known what to expect. I'm going in for the Air Force as well :)
@Julian65465 yup I'm definitely still going in. I've been having a few set backs but nothing is going to stop me lol. I'm horrible at studying too, hence how bad I did, but I would just say to keep working on what you need help in. Take a couple of the practice tests online too, they give you a general guideline to what the real test is like.
@Julian65465 I used the asvab exam cram book (it's a red and yellow book) however I wouldn't really recommend it. It's not a bad book but it wasn't that helpful. They (military.com) recommend asvab for dummies so I'd say to use that too lol.
I just scored a 77 today without any study materials. I should be picking a job next Tuesday.. Then I'm out this B***H!
