For those arguing about Jenn's age... Jennifer was 14 during the bulk of the filming of Labyrinth. She was born in Dec. of 1970 and the movie was released to theaters June 1986... seven months BEFORE her 16th birthday. It would've taken a minimum of two years to film and edit the movie. They started filming when she was FOURTEEN.

Ok, so I also wanted them to get together and for her to stay. After watching this video and seeing what could have been, I'm sorry but it creeps me out. I have to say it is uncomfortable, even if he's "immortal". Btw, it is a great video with beautiful artwork. Especially the one at the very end when they are in the window together. Great fan fantasy stuff...but just so we're clear, Jareth was not in anyway interested in looking after Sarah. He wanted control over her, that's it. Still, it's Bowie and he's hot so I can totally go with the fantasy that they were somehow perfect for each other and end up together. Loved the pic near the end where she's wearing the green dress and he's teaching her how to use the crystal. Awesome.
If I was there in the last part of the movie were he says "fear me-love me- do as I say and I will be your slave: I'd be all like "Return what you took and I will be yours." Age in this movie totally doesn't matter

@bubbles1234440 It was probably edited. David Bowie wasn't allowed to kiss Connelly since she was a minor and he was quite a bit older and he said in a mini-documentary of the movie that he didn't want to kiss her for that reason.

When I first saw this movie, so very long ago.... I had always loved David Bowie, but this took me over the top.....Handsome debauchery with magic powers vs. beauty and innocence..... had to end the way it did, but given my choice... I would have stayed with Jareth! Took the baby home first and come back forever!

Jareth was doing is job! When someone wishes there sibling away he HAS to take them no matter what. Since he loves sarah he gave her a chance but he still had to level out the benifits in his favor because thats the rules of it! I think Jareth didnt have a choice.

I would of made a different deal if I were her. Who ever said that she cannot have her dreams with Jareth and Toby being back with his family? I think her answer may of been different if he had worded it differently. I think he forgets at times he is talking to a fifteen year old girl who most likely hasn't even had her first kiss. Ah, in my imagination he later came back for when she was old enough to truly understand. ;)

when you really think about it the only one that was stubborn was sarah, i mean jareth did do all those things for her, and whether she was young or not, i am the same age her character was (15) and she could have compromised. he could have given toby to the parents & she could have stayed with him. that's what i would have done. but i really like david bowie as jareth in this movie, he was sexy, sorta nice yet with a cruel/strong. i would love a man like this :)
REALLY?! That she was able to rise above him and realize that no one has power over her is the main reason I love this film! Yes there's some sexual undertones, but she's supposed to overcome that and hold on to what's really important in life. I'd never really want her to be with him. (That doesn't stop me from loving the ballroom scene though. Despite the tantalization she isn't ready for that yet but we can get a glimpse of her future when she's older and finds someone good to love.)
I would have said "send Toby home and I will stay forever." The ending of the movie made many of us very upset. I wanted a happy ending....not the logical one.
I agree that it would have been a lot better had they been closer in age or if she returned when she was older or if he came to her. Would have been so cool for them to teach each other things.

The whole freaking point of her going into the Labyrinth was to get Toby back. Had she accepted Jareths offer, she would have failed. Toby would have been lost to her forever. She was there to learn a lesson and get Toby back.

Jareth starts begging Sarah wants to make her his queen, as the movie is ending. Sarah just ignores him like a soulless woman with no feelings, like nothing is even happening. Something else must have happened in those 10 minutes that was said between the 2 of them to cause Jareth to ask Sarah to marry him and be his queen.

Somehow though these are the only 2 situations where I think it would work in a movie, because of the story. I don't know how true it is, but I just read on 2 websites that the kiss between Sarah, and Jareth the Goblin King was somewhere at the ending of the movie, when she finally lets go of childhood things to become a woman. I read that the scene taken out was about 10 minutes long.

The comic book series is nothing compared to the original. I have read it, and I found it to be a real disappointment. Without spoiling what the ending is, I will just say that I thought that the ending of Return to Labyrinth comic book series was even more disappointing than the original movie's ending.

when you really think about it the only one that was stubborn was sarah, i mean jareth did do all those things for her, and whether she was young or not, i am the same age her character was (15) and she could have compromised. he could have given toby to the parents & she could have stayed with him. that's what i would have done. but i really like david bowie as jareth in this movie, he was sexy, sorta nice yet with a cruel/strong. i would love a man like this :)

REALLY?! That she was able to rise above him and realize that no one has power over her is the main reason I love this film! Yes there's some sexual undertones, but she's supposed to overcome that and hold on to what's really important in life. I'd never really want her to be with him. (That doesn't stop me from loving the ballroom scene though. Despite the tantalization she isn't ready for that yet but we can get a glimpse of her future when she's older and finds someone good to love.)

I would have said "send Toby home and I will stay forever." The ending of the movie made many of us very upset. I wanted a happy ending....not the logical one.

I agree that it would have been a lot better had they been closer in age or if she returned when she was older or if he came to her. Would have been so cool for them to teach each other things.

Great Video my Daughter would have loved this she watched that movie everyday I mean she was 3yrs old til she passed away in 08 and she was 21yrs old.. The movie is a good too.. I think they should come out with pt2 where they get together and married and live in the Labyinth that would be cool lol

It was a good movie but I would have wanted a bit more romance between those teo. Cuz wasnt it her wish for the Goblin King to fall in love with her? Well he did but she rejeted him ;_; would have been so cute too. Oh well, I guess thats where imagination comes in handy xD

To the people calling Sarah a "soulless woman" for rejecting Jareth, allow me to defend her.
The whole freaking point of her going into the Labyrinth was to get Toby back. Had she accepted Jareths offer, she would have failed. Toby would have been lost to her forever. She was there to learn a lesson and get Toby back.

@DanniiYoung656 Yeah, she's not soulless, she did the right thing. All of us (I hope) would choose to save the baby. Problem is that's what we'd do in real life, you know? We all would dump the bad boy to save the baby, but that's the reason why Sarah (who doesn't really exist) should dump the baby and keep the bad boy. Because she is the one who really can do that with no consequences :-D Nah, kidding, it was OK for her to take the baby out, but she should have kept in touch with Jareth.

@SerenaRoberson ~ If it's true I don't think that they just spent 10 minutes kissing. They must have talked if it took them that long. LOL I think it fits the story better. Jareth starts begging Sarah wants to make her his queen, as the movie is ending. Sarah just ignores him like a soulless woman with no feelings, like nothing is even happening. Something else must have happened in those 10 minutes that was said between the 2 of them to cause Jareth to ask Sarah to marry him and be his queen.

@SerenaRoberson ~ You are right that romantic kiss would not work between an underage person, and an adult. Somehow though these are the only 2 situations where I think it would work in a movie, because of the story. I don't know how true it is, but I just read on 2 websites that the kiss between Sarah, and Jareth the Goblin King was somewhere at the ending of the movie, when she finally lets go of childhood things to become a woman. I read that the scene taken out was about 10 minutes long.

When Kirsten Dunst kissed Brad Pitt in theMovie Interview with the Vampire, it was a romantic kiss, because Kirsten Dunst was suppose to be an ancientVampire in a child's body

It is strange how time changes things, because later in the 90's they made the movie Interview with the Vampire. In that movie Kirsten Dunst has a scene where she kisses Brad Pitt when she is under age, and they did not delete that scene of the movie.

@MsSpicyhotdog ~ Labyrinth 2 Return of the Goblin King movie is just an online rumor, but it is not real. Return to Labyrinth is a comic book series that has 4 comic books. The comic book series is nothing compared to the original. I have read it, and I found it to be a real disappointment. Without spoiling what the ending is, I will just say that I thought that the ending of Return to Labyrinth comic book series was even more disappointing than the original movie's ending.
