Notice! to not do handheld at weddings ever, I botched a friends wedding trying to capture subtle moments with a shaky hand. Fortunately I did another wedding with my camera mounted Cam Caddie Scorpion. Unbelievably better.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but shooting a wedding with that small handycam which i Believe is a HDR-XR105 is hardly going to get you the respect you deserve if you are trying to start or run a videography enterprise now is it.... Ihave one at home as a secondary cam, and if I happen to use only that I get a load of paparazzi wannabes jostling me for space. Whereas with my bigger cam - everyone moves out of the way. It's all about image portrayal too aswell as good ability to shoot.

@capokhatpin you do have a valid point, that being said it's not always about the equipment you use that gets you respect it's about the shots, the emotions from those shots, and the important parts the other's miss out on that makes you stand out from all the 'wannabes'.

What seperates your video from everyone else's?.....

@vibevid Agreed. All that talk about dramatic low light with a little consumer camera isn't going to happen. The nice thing is you can buy a Sony PD150/170 or VX2100 cheap now off eBay/craigslist but they're not HD. But they do a bang up job for weddings/low light events.
