That's Hill 16 behind the stage, it's not a seated area but a standing area, and it was closed because they were using it for power cables/stage rigging and there was a safety issue with that.

Fans in Ireland were actually incredibly annoyed about it, people wanted the entire Stadium to be used for the concerts but it just wasn't possible. It was better in a way though because since it wasn't a full circle audience, the band never had their backs to you!

Are you mad? The best place in the world to see U2 is Dublin there home town, there can be no comparison's. I was at the three nights in Dublin and all three were amazing. I spoke to people from Boston and Texas who have never seen anything like it and said the Irish crowed were out of this world. Come on mate get a grip. But your right it would have been nice to see the hill open.

We went down on the Sat nite and my mate was at the Barca gig and was so dissappointed with Croke in comparison... and said the same thing... the place to be was down on the pitch not up in the stands... but was a real good night out and the very polished...

It's disappointing that they've shorten the version of this song, especially the drums. Although looking back on past performances it sounded like the drums relied heavily on drum machines to give that chunkier feel. I also felt that the drums that Larry does on this performance is closer to the studio version than any other version.

Another reason for its brevity is that they probably have to fit in ll the other songs and the full version of mysterious ways would be at least 8 minutes long.
