I had a 12g nano, 1 weeks ago, iw went out for the weekend and i unplugged everything to do something and was in a rush so i left when i came back almost evrythiing was dead so i let it fall apart
i am using a cheap oddysea skimmer and its overkill but its worked for me. I have a 175watt metal halided along with 2 actinic for supplementation oh yea and a 10 gallon sump. You like the tank?
hey i have a 12 aquapod but i cant find a skimmer that will fit in the filter and idk if i want one in the tank and if i did it would have to be in the front corner and i dont have room for a sump do you know of any skimmers i could use
Yes it can be difficult and very discouraging sometimes, also very expensive. It is well worth it though, you become very attatched to something you put so much time and effort into, and its greatly entertaining. If your considering setting one up, plan plan plan, do your research too, it pays off.

@sk81514 Before you do anything buy a book, they help a lot! Also the best filtration to use for a tank that small is just live rock

If you have room in the back the Red Prizm's intake and outtake will fit on the back. Worked great for my 12g
