you yell X (and then preferably the players name who you are crossing) so he knows that there is someone crossing his path. This because longer range ships tend to only look at where their shells fall, and only very shortly where their ship goes. If you then cross their ship, and they fire.. you get hurt and they get an XP penalty.. lose-lose for both..

So thats why you yell X when crossing someone ;)

And no, cv play isnt hard.. go to the official forums -> tips & tactics for that ;)

Actually, this game is pretty fun, you just need to learn to appreciate it. If you just rush and shoot, you'll die quick, hence no fun. If you play smart, you wont die (that fast) and you'll have plenty of fun.. its just how u play the game..
