important subject we take quite seriously. there was recently a protest aboard a "research" ship on the sea near japan and stopped them from killing precious animals.

we need to kick out the prez and vp in the USA before the elections!

I was recently accused of being racist by somebody in a comment thread on a video about the whale "research" going on right now. I had to explain that I didn't care what country was doing this. That it was morally wrong regardless. :-/

whaling was probably a great idea way back when and wherever they needed food, but we know better today, or SHOULD by now.

That's basically what I told the guy, even calling it a 19th century industry. He complained about the families that would lose their livelihoods, and I pointed out that they needed to join the 21st century anyway. Between those animals' intelligence and rarity, there simply was no excuse in still slaughtering them in this day and age.
