is it easier to crochet or knit? which looks better (crochet or knit)? i want to start making leg warmers and socks and stuff. if your a beginner at crocheting or knitting what would be your first project?
@Angisinwonderland Crocheting definitely. It is a bit simpler. Knitting needs two needles and it's harder to fix errors. Plus it gets tangled easier...
@Angisinwonderland crocheting is like knitting but with a hook instead of two long pointed metal rods. so crocheting is a faster and easier way make something that you could knit.
I don't know if you're still working on these, but just in case... No, with this, after you do the slip stitch you just put a dc into every dc, then slip stitch the last dc into the first dc of every row. They connect at the end and that keeps the height even.
My biggest pet peeve is when people use incorrect terminology when they are teaching something...

@Angisinwonderland I'm a beginner at crochet and my first project was a scarf. I'm working on a hat now.
