  • I didn't think there was anything left of the Gulf after those BP morons destroyed it with their oil. It's a shame too I saw a lot of the Gulf in Texas down in Corpus Christi. It deserves better fate than becoming some giant oil sludge.

  • this is so much fun to watch..we'll be there for 9 days soon..can't wait.

    thanks for sharin'.

    love from Memphis.

    p.s. loved the guitar too.

  • @rocknrollnurse Much love back. Glad to know that we share a passion for the Emerald coast. It would be great to shoqw you my sweet spots while you were there. Good luck and best wishes.

  • mike also what are other good snorkeling spots , someone told me st. andrew state park panama city. anothers says destin west jetties , then there telling just swimming out like you do i wont see nothing but desert and a few sandollars

  • @guitarhunter911 Sent you a message instead because of the length. This and my other underwater videos are off of the beach.

  • mike also can i swim out to the second sand bar or do i need a kayak ? how far out is it 200 yrds ? went snorkeling in cozumel last year i did know destin water was this clear and this much wildlife

  • Sometimes, when I first began snorkeling those waters, after my move there, I would take my kayak. Partly to have a secure place to enter should i feel vulnerable and partly because of the distance from shore. But truthfully, if you have fins, you should just swim out., partly because the second sandbar isn't necessarily your destination. The entire swim is your destination. I actually often swam out way past the second bar, and experienced different wildloife altogether. But inside is best.

  • mike where is this taken, thinking about renting a condo at alys beach will i be able to see this kinda of stuff? thanks

  • Not sure when you're renting, but yes, it is possible to see this there. I came across some sea turtle and other wildlife off of Alys Beach. I found some sweet spots along 30A and the surrounding areas, but all along there is fun. In between sandbars is nice as is the slope to the second bar. Go have fun. If I were still there I'd blindfold you and take you to the special spots, but you can't go wrong. As long as conditions are good, and the water clear, you are in paradise. Good luck!

  • Awesome job on the video. That's my kind of morning. I was out with my snorkel for a half hour this afternoon, but didn't see that much. Where were you along the gulf coast? I'm in Santa Rosa Beach.

  • Yes, who knew so much was down there. Thanks for your comment. I'll be gone one day but these experiences, hopefully, will live on. Along with the rest of Nature.

  • Thanks a million. It is a special thing to share an adventure. It brings the experience alive on a different level. Your kind words are appreicated. The support helps to guide and inspire me further.

  • Absolutely gorgeous! You did a wonderful job. Thanks so much for turning me on to a whole new world. I had no idea this area had so much to offer.
