I have a really weird way of tremelo picking. What i do is rotate my pick 90 degrees, and then tremelo on the fretboard, the 24th fret line. Meaning I press down the pick and tremelo like that. Is this a problem? someone told me i can't palm-mute this way, but i can do it fine.
I'm a martian and play the guitar with pointed ears holding the guitar above my head. Is it OK to do that? I mean it still sounds great. What should I do?
John, you're a great teacher. I've watched many of your vids dude. The learning guitarists are lucky to have a guy like you giving so much of your time. I've picked up a few nice little tricks from you. Thanks man!!!
Some very true comments on here! Even though these particular videos takes it more "back to the basics" you still always keep it interesting and fresh to watch. Something I thoroughly enjoy are your jazz theory lessons, everything you have to say about improvisation, working with scales and how to incorporate different harmonies/voicings in a solo goes straight from your mouth into my system (no weird PUN intended). I hope you continue doing this for a long time! :)
I have watched all 5 of these videos and they are first class. Nice bite size pieces of information which don't overlap or confuse and your personality and enthusiasm makes the watcher want to have as much fun as you appear to be having.
I have followed you for some time now, your output and quality always high and the presentation is getting more polished.
I'm already far ahead of some of the things you talked about in the series by now. But have to say its a GREAT practical way of showing how to use stuff even for some that already know if not all, then at least most of the things you talked about. Great stuff dude.
One suggestion tought not on the series. To get some low budget guitar once and say what should people look for in an electric guitar when buying. What are the no-nos etc.

@johnhguitar Yeah! that's exactly the answer SloughOvDespair needs. We can do things our own way as long as they turns out the way they should.

I wish I had seen these videos when I was just learning- Once power chords/barre chords were revealed to me, it made everything make sense.
