  • Too bad that Taker had to burry Jake Roberts. That promo is awesome. You can actually believe that Roberts enjoyed nailing the Undertaker.

  • WMVIII and now we are in WMXXVIII times have changed but its now wwe pg who wants it back to wwf tv14 agen

  • Jake : "Short ride, bad landing ..." - one of the best stickmen in the business.

  • 1992 wrestle mania undertaker - 17 years

  • Sorry but one man I wouldn't fuck with is THe Undertaker fake or not fake lol

  • why did Paul Barer speaked like a fucking fag back there?

  • This was Undertaker at his very peak, when he really looked sinister and intimidating,I know he is on his forties right now and for wrestling is not truly old by any means but he just doesnt create the same impact anymore like in his younger days.

  • @julius5551 I think he's better nowadays, he's really managed to perfect the omniscience he tries to bring to the ring when he enters, plus his age makes him scarier... But it's all down to personal preference :)

  • @DESPOILER101 Your last point sums it all up,I dont know you,but I have followed his career since his advent to the wwe(or f)and I always found that what made him so impactful aside from his appearance, was the gimmick of being impervious to pain,no matter what you hit him with he just would keep coming in true zombie movie fashion, back then it was a novelty, obviously after all these years that script would look old and tiresome.

  • @julius5551 It has to be said though, the eye thing he does now is awesome XP

  • Amazing. The Undertaker was 17 in this clip.

  • @SethHesio This was 20 years ago and Undertaker is 46 years old in 2011. When WM8 occurred, he was around 26 or 27.

  • @badrakzone This is his second wrestlemania he fought Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka at Wrestlemania 7

  • Does anyone else out here in youtube land think that Jake's voice sounds a LOT like Baloo in the Jungle Book animated movie?

  • Taker was scary back then. Damm.......there whole monologue buried last weeks raw monologues.

  • @octasian

the taker was not scary back then.

    i allways thought.its halloween?

  • i remember when i was little and watching this match while arguing with my mom about how de undertaker is really dead and how real de fights of WWF was.... thts how good it was back in those days....

  • There's a rumour he may bring a snake to the ring!?

How dare you Shaun Mooney. That's a vicious smear!

  • "the HOSE-ier dome" lol damn u sucked lord alfred

  • wwe whoops soccers ass

  • it was at wrestlemania 7 not 8 get your facts straight buddy

  • @crymetime69 This is wrestlemania 8 not 7

  • undertaker vs mick foley at wrestlemania 28

  • @crymetime69 yup undertaker will come back ministry theme mix with his regular theme and i think thay it will be buried alive.

  • Knowone can ever Tell he was going to leave WWE after this match

  • why dous paul bearer sound like mikey mouse

  • @ketnet25 how do you know????? you watch so you know haha XD

  • @TheAnimalover173 lol maby i used to watch it why u must watch to know u dumass

i mean almost evrybody watched it back when they wer young maby i rememberd it form then

  • the understaker will probably die of old age but still as an active wrestler.

  • WHO IS NEXT THIS YEARS WM UNDERTAKER VS ???

  • this place has gone bananas!

  • Undertaker back then and still to this day has always been epic

  • damn how many people were there?

  • paul bearer voice is weird

  • Short ride. Bad landing. It only takes 4 words to describe a DDT.

  • four play?

  • great interview from jake

  • I love this era of the Undertaker.

  • whos the snake

  • Old times;]

  • @DANNYISHRANDOM i respect your opinion that you think batista is a better wrestler than john cena, but i would have to disagree because in MY opinion they both suck and youre right that the attitude era was probably the best in the wwe history.

  • @DANNYISHRANDOM the attitude era was indeed great. But IMO, this era was the best. You should watch wm 7 as an example of how great this era was. Machoman vs Warrior had such a good build up, storyline (that even picked up after), and drama that left the audience in tears.

  • this was when i watched wrestling i watched wrestling fro mwhen i was 1 in 1988 all the way to wm19 2003 what years did you guys watch wrestling from?

  • the hulkamina-1992 >>> attitude era >>>>> now.

this era was the best. You had crazy gimmicks from Hogan, warrior, Jake the snake, machoman, old-school undertaker, and bret. this was when wrestling was known as a sport and not a pop-soap opera.

  • @cisco19 I couldnt agree with you more, today you really cant tell the difference between one wrestler and the next, I mean somehow, macho man Sean Michael Jake Roberts Undertaker and so on, were great on becoming great names and main eventers,, nowadays I can barely watch 5minutes of it and bores the hell out of me, even the announcing staff is nothing like it was was Gorilla Monsoon, heenan and even Tazz for the most part, thats why I love seeing the vintage clips on Youtube

  • @jukedar Wrestling during the hulkamania had more drama and connection with the wrestlers. I remember WM8, where Machoman vs Warrior happened. Macho was the heel, but when the match ended, people where crying in tears due to the reuniting of Macho and Elizabeth. Then we had undertaker and hogan, and all them super hero like guys.

  • @cisco19 yes I specifically remember that match, thats when macho man was being managed by sensationsl sherri, and at the end of the match she ditched him: christ dude this is scary to say, 3 of these people are dead.

  • @jukedar Sherri and macho man. whos the 3rd one thats dead. I dont remember hearing anything about either Paul Bearer or Jake Roberts dying unless i missed it

  • @ENTERTAINMENT35 oh no, Paul bearer and Jake are alive, it was Ms Elizabeth who overdosed on drugs, at the time she was living with Lex Lugar who you heard absolutely nothing about anymore once this happened

  • This undertaker was sick

  • Undertaker has a neckbeard, which is quite fashionable

  • Hell man!It takes skill to be that ugly! That Paul Bearer!

  • under lasted through 3 generations

  • this is his first wrestlemania match 1-0

  • @powhzify 2nd actually 2-0

  • NO ONE cut a promo like Jake, no one has ever even come close to him since then

  • @Cyberpunk747 jake was the best heel. During the time he fueded with Machoman he made a combra bite the arm of macho man., he made the entire audience hysterical.. not jsut crying in tears and yelling for the officials and piper to get machoman out, but he actually caused some of the to call 911 during that infamous segment,

  • Who gave better interviews: Jake, or Hulk Hogan?

  • @terminat1 the Rock

  • wow the undertaker music was amazing.....

  • Undertaker looked so much more powerful in that time than any of today's wrestlers.

  • @azarazar007 he looked like a undead, grim reaper, unlike today's undertaker...if that undertaker debuted in today's time all the kids would get fucked and all the superstars lol

  • @azarazar007 im not surprise bcz he can compete with the other wrestlers today (1900s-2010)

  • Heenan when Taker comes out "Look at these 2! Their normal...their alright...not a thing wrong with them!"....lol hennan always killed

  • @tenebre911 LOL that stood out for me too. No one better than Heenan, always said the right/funny thing.

  • trust me (aka..fuck you)

  • Jake the snake vs. Rick Martel in a Blindfold match has to one of the funniest matches of all time.

  • The Undertaker and Paul Bearer were the best ever.

  • Jake the snake 2nd theme was the shit! "Trust me"

  • I forgot the reason in the storyline for Undertaker turning face. I know he saved Macho Man and Elizabeth from getting jumped by jake, but why? If Paul and the Undertaker did explain it I missed it.

  • @ramennoodlechef They never really did explain why. I guess Undertaker had a change of heart when he saw Roberts go after Miss Elizabeth so many times dating back to the November 1991 Tuesday in Texas PPV.

  • undertaker the legend dead man forever

  • I swear Bearer's voice is creepy as hell

  • now i know why raven does the perfect promos, and the perfect ddt :)

  • Paul Bearer is one weird bastard...

  • Notice Jake Roberts never backs off an inch from Undertaker or Andre the Giant. The guy marches in like the favorite. F'n love it.

  • Randy Orton is very comparible to jake roberts. I would go so far as to say he is a modern day version of jake the snake roberts. would anyuone agree?

  • @kappapsi9 Hell no! Orton will never be Jake Roberts. He doesn't come near to having that kind of charisma on the mic.

  • @kappapsi9 Can never compare garbage ass Orton to Roberts.

  • "Undertaker, always that eerie smell of formaldehyde around him--"

"I thought that was your cologne."

    "WILL you stop?!"

  • God bless Jake's promo skills. GOD as for taker? He's DONE IT ALL.

  • Paul Bearer has a green Face LOL.

  • Lord Alfred Hayes was amazing back then!

  • One of the greatest talkers of all time!!!

  • Jake is probally one of the best interviewers ever. Even as a face he had such an angry intensity, he was great in this stint as a hell, I wish it would of went on longer.

As for his drug addiction it was bad thus leading to all of the internet rumors I know he was so far gone in 2004 he let his snake starve to death (they wanted to press charges). WWE has been wanting to induct him in HOF but probally just want to be sure he will show up clean

  • truly roberts is a good speaker

  • This is my fave undertaker anyone who prefers him now or when he was the american badass needs to be shot..

Induct jake roberts in the HOF and he is the best on the mic.

Black sunday is how you described it snake roberts its your day of wreckoning as we enter the 11th hour you must come face to face with reality the reality of death at the hands of the reaper jake roberts prepare to meet your end...

  • Jake still got a huge pop with a little boo's

  • Jake's last promo until 1996, and what a promo it was.

  • jake for hall of fame 2011

  • @fialhoextreme Jake the Snake will never make the hall of fame.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 That's because the WWE are a bunch of hypocrits.

  • @JohnACorp782 No, because Jake the Snake did too much stupid shit in his career. Like telling his bosses at the last minute that he wasn't going to do a match unless they gave him Cocaine.

  • @TheManiacalSatanist6 That's bullshit, typical internet rumours...

  • This loss turned Jake to crack....

  • was the undertaker interview promo part of the colisuem home video or live PPV broadcast version bc it wasnt on my 1998 wrestlemania legacy VHS box set or the 2005 wrestlemania DVD anthology box set

  • @stone85 I had this ppv in 92 jake did the promo and after he said trust me it went straight to the ring announcement as he was walking down the ring

  • jake the slave roberts

  • Shakespeare of Wrestling!

  • this should have bee the main event

  • so who was heel and who was face here?

  • @wwhugefan undertakers 1st match as a face

  • @KRnumba9 oh , sweet thanks :)

  • If Jake the snake roberts fought stone cold steve austin at their repsective primes (jake 1990 and stone cold 1998) the promo for that match would be frighteningly good. The match i dare say would be very good as well.

  • notice the fat man cabbage patch

  • "The ddt's where it lays big man...so what are ya gonna do when I hook it and get what I want..."

  • when he reunited with paul bearer, in the ministry, he would just toss the tag team belt to bearer, like he didnt care. i think that the early undertaker seemed to be afraid of bearer, kind of like if he didnt perform well or what bearer told him to do, then he would send him back where he came from.

  • I think raven's mentor is jake the snake.

  • I was there and let me tell you one of the best times I had. Also that place may look big on screen but when you are there it is HUGE! That Dome has sinced been destroyed but I tell you when Hogan came out that night and the Ultimate Warrior returned to close out the show with Hogan, that place was unbelievably loud especially in person as opposed to just watching on tv.

  • JAKE FOR HOF 2011 nuff said

  • @ The Happy Knot - 'Taker's been in the WWF/E since before WrestleMania 7. His WM debut was a win over an old and out-of-shape Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka in 1991. This match is the ending of a feud the two had after Jake wanted to attack Miss Elizabeth after her "wedding" to Randy "Macho Man" Savage at SummerSlam '91. Roberts was hiding behind a curtain with a chair ready to strike Liz as she was walking back to the locker room, and Taker took the chair away.

  • Was this Jakes last match before he left for the first time?

  • @fisherlibermannutsc yea it was

  • TRUST ME........ ( THE FAMOUS WORDS OF JAKE "THE SNAKE" ROBERTS)

JAKE MADE THE UNDERTAKER WHAT HE IS TODAY.

  • A lot of today's wrestlers could learn from watching guys like the Snake, Rude, and Mr. Perfect .

  • That's me at 3:57. Still have the sign, lol.

  • Gorilla Monsoon on Jake the Snake: "But, he may just have dug his own grave"

  • I made a ultimate warrior remix

  • Jake was the only person who could rival Hulk Hogan in making excellent and compelling soundbites.

  • my god Takers been around forever

  • Jake was so good on the mic

  • Jake's last wwe appearance until 1996

  • Classic shit Jake the snake was one of the all time cool wrestlers

but the undertaker is bad ass

  • jake was outta shape at this point

  • For a minute there I thought Lord Alfred was narrating a nature documenatary LOL

  • whats the name of the announcer?

  • While most wrestlers of that day shouted their interviews, Jake's understated approach was refreshingly cold and believable. Looking back, he was underappreciated.

  • @bainsey89 Very underappreciated. Watch his DVD. You'll get plenty of insight on Jake. He should've at least been given a chance to be Intercontinental champ. See, this is what Mcmahon does to his wrestlers. He uses them while they're in their primes and once he see's you slowing down, he gets rid of you or has you job for the new guys to get a name and leave the legend with nothing to show for it. The only title I know that Jake has actually won was the NWA TV title before he was in WWF.

  • Jake's promo is the absolute best of all time here.

  • Didn't Jake leave the WWF shortly after this match?

  • It's hard 4 undertaker 2 be intimidating when he has those green froggy gloves on.

  • lol @ 0:45 "eww short ride, bad landing."

  • Jake the Snake was a baaaaad man! One of the best Heelsof all time in WWF!!!!

  • @dolphinsattack see him slide back.. lol

  • @dolphinsattack

    LOL, "oooh" not "eww".

  • i really didnt appreciate jake the snake enough when i was younger, the man is pure class....mcmahon said there was never a wrestler who charactor was so similar to him self in real life.....scary thoughts........absolute legend

  • why in the blue hell is jake robets not in the hall of fame? sure, he did not win any championships but he invented the move that EVERY wrestler uses, the DDT. (and that's more then that birdiot Koko ever did. Can someone please explain to me why Koko is even in the H O F to begin with?

  • He didn't even need a championship...

  • I agree why also arnt Bob Backlund or randy savage in the hall of fame instead of Hacksaw JIm Duggan and Birdbrain koko B ware

  • even 8 yrs ago as a heel he was cheered 2. same in 91 during the Hogan match & Hogan was the biggest face then 2!!!

  • Undertaker: 1-1

  • where is jakes snake ( at the entrance )????

  • easily one of my favourite wrestlemanias, i watch it often on dreary saturday afternoons, because it reminds me of when wrestling was good..

  • Two of my favorite wrestlers. Jake's promo's and Undertaker's gimmick AND entrances. So sad that WWE can't produce Legends like these anymore.

  • 3:41=RIP Jake sign held by Old Lady

3:58= "The Reaper Comes" held by another Old Lady

I just find that kind of funny...You'd expect these signs to be sported by teenagers.

  • the undertaker should never ever be a heel again thats just my opinion and am sticking to it.

  • To be honest with you, I think that he's so popular that he could never be turned heel again. He's WWE's biggest face by far. His last heel run was about 8 years ago, and it lasted all of six months!

For Orton, the situation will probably become the reverse.

  • Taker's first match as a heel turned face !!!!

  • I love Jake Roberts voice, he's so calm and collected during his promos. Even when he yells it's almost like he's not yelling

  • 1:45 people's eyebrow ^^

  • cool match

  • jake 'the snake' roberts = legend

  • i am from canada and we have a show on tsn called off the record. the undertaker was on there and said when he tombstoned jake at the end of the match he shit himself. he also said it was so hard not to puke infront of all those people. true story.

  • Fucking funny...

  • that was sid at wrestlemania 13.

  • I think it was Sid that shitted on himself.Look @ Taker's expression after he pinned him

  • cool

  • "eww short ride bad landing"

  • i remember at the end of every one of the undertaker's interview, he says rest in pieces, i totally miss that, if Randy Orton meet this undertaker, its would be light out for Randy,

  • I was there at Wrestlemania 8 at the RCA Dome (aka Hoosier Dome). I was twelve years old when I went to Wrestlemania 8 at my home town of Indianapolis, Indiana.

  • R.I.P. Hoosier "RCA" Dome.

Yes I'm a Colts fan and this comment had nothing to do with this match! But Oh well

  • I was tryin to take this seriously but then Bearer opened his mouth :D

  • jake wrestled mania for his release and a 8ball FACT

  • It is not Vince's fault that Jake isn't in the WWE. Sure you want to give the fans what they want but with the problems that Jake faces (i.e. the drug and alcohol problems) it wouldn't be the best decision for the fans and the company.

  • "The biggest man always doesnt win! No he doesnt! The strongest man doesnt always win! The smartest man, the coldest man does win!"

  • What A Classic Match!! Undertaker Rules!!!!

  • "Watch this brother, Short Ride, Bad Landing"

Best Promo man in the business!

  • Jake Roberts was (and still is in my opinion) one of the best in ring psychologists of all time, and it REALLY pissed me off how this guy never got a WWE title run. I hope to god one day this guy gets inducted into the WWE hall of fame, but vinces head is so far up his ass that he wont allow it!

  • Jake once said that he would've liked to have been champion. He'd have liked the money that came with it and to be able say "I was WWE Champion" but he feels that he didn't need it to prove himself.

  • of course if vince saw this today, im sure he would have said okay lets keep snake around. especially if he sees what is around today. im sure this interview with undertaker is after the actual match itself lol.

  • agreed. I heard Vince WANTED Jake back later (he wrote the Goldust/Ahmed Johnson angle) but the drug and alcohol problem was more dominant at the time. I 'd think if the "cards were right" that when Jake got cleaned up, and the situation called for it, if Vince got him....MAN that would be good enough for me to start watching again! I'd have Jake as head writer....maybe the PG stuff might hold him back though.

  • i agree, jake definitely had a creative mind, the storyline when he pretended to form an alliance with the ultimate warrior only to lock warrior in a room with snakes proved this...

  • this match was boring, but it served it's purpose by legitimizing the undertaker as the man
