  • This was written in 1975???

  • @justonium Yep, the Tangs were WAY ahead of everyone else at this point. Now they're just like any other band, employing eye-candy bimbos and other visual effects to distract from the uninspired tedious rubbish Froese churns out. It was Chris Franke's brilliant rhythmic sequences that really made them. When he left it all went to shit.

  • ...ero un ragazzino e questa era la mia eccellente droga,....lunga vita alla fantasia e alla musica dei Tangerine Dream,

  • this reminds me of mass effect so much

  • one must needs read Polish sci-fi and/or stargaze to suchlike

  • meesterwerk tijdloos en geniaal

  • Bought this when it first came out in 75 , i think i wore the album out, still got it. Old Td is better than all their new stuff by far. Saw em twice in 75 76 brilliant music.

  • Tangerin Dream, out this world!

  • wieczory i Tangerine Dream...

  • I still have the original vinyl album. So hypnotic. Great to hear it once more.

  • love these guy early 70s t0 about 84 logos is a goodf live album

  • Yes,the same as you said,İts only one things that ı couldnt understand why is still fresh to listen since 1976..like many songs of pink floyd or led zeppelin..

  • yeh but i love 'phaedra', it meant a lot to me when i first heard it...but listening to this i love it, has anyone heard their 'Poland' track? i love it, heres a link

  • 4 people had an orgasm and accidentally pressed the dislike button

  • @frostmortem Actually this is the only reasonable explanation

  • een van de songs die het leven kippevel geven timmeless geniaal

  • while not listening to tangerine dream, thank you, I invite you to listen to my music.

  • Tangerine Dream sparker røv :)

  • A commendable redemption for part one, which is surely one of the most pretentious, howling pieces of techno-bollocks ever made.

  • The best part of Ricochet.. this is the best music I' ve eved heard. Beautiful video

    ciao from Italy

  • I feel I could jump into another universe.

  • @Harvin87 D'you wanna buy some mushrooms?

  • had this album on vinyl since it came out, & still spin it. saw them in Salisbury once, Love it still.

  • WOOOOWWWWWWW :))))))

  • My dad was younger than i am now when this track born. :d

Exactly, he was 9 and i'm now 18. BTW amazing tune

  • This song is a masterpiece.

  • Altough I like my rock and Blues it was and is so nice to have been into this side of music from day one, right from the early TD days. although I am in my 50s now Club and House or even Trance was to us that listened to TD and Kraftwerk etc in the early days nothing new just a follow on. Always relax to this and other electronica thanks for posting.

  • Have been a great fan for many years -still great !

  • Adoro essa musica,,demais.

  • Tangerine Dream at their peak inspired back in 1975, but to remain some peopledown here there was no Computers even no drum-machine, just unstable analog synths sequencing, live electronic raga, timeless

  • Tangerine Dream set the standard that, over three decades later, other artists began to grasp.

  • this excellent tract******* 5555

  • ooohhh..thank you for this relax..love u human..i cry every time for us we are one entite...

  • My fav of TD ... Evocative +

  • een meesterwerk als een oneindige waterval amazing!!

  • @dinkeldal mee eens, hiermee is mijn TD verameling begonnen.

    amazing and full of energy!!

  • Classic Tangerine Dream! The computers...electronic sound and impressionism...

That's why I like this group!

  • their music were so advanced, imagine this was recorded some 35 years ago.....

  • their music was so advanced during their time, imagine this band was formed more than 30 years ago....

  • i love to explore all concepts of music.this group is the 1st that i've listened to that takes you on a journey and enjoy it.that's real.,...it's damn real.

  • OMG!!!

  • Yes, very good, but Justin Bieber is now giving them a run for their money

  • @hendryhouse he can come close.

  • @hendryhouse justin bieber is wank!!!!

  • Love this music, the synths are antiques now, and the tape mixers used, way out of date, now you got computer HD's, and computer software and midi controllers and mixers. This music at the time was as difficult to do as a live concert. Limited recording tracks, synth sampling tracks.

  • Man, aint this the best symphonic tracK EVER? This LP (yes, LP those days) never got rid of my LPplayer. What a symphony...but also Pheadra and Rubicon were gems for me....and later, I had trouble with albums like Force majeure... but...I learned to love them. TD as set my direction in life. They screwed up later, resulting in shit music... but hey, I thank them for being there when I was a 17 year old growing up kid.

  • Great.

    spiky hair, release of endorphins

  • TD amazing - timeless.

  • i agree the thing is is that people are forgetting about the musicality aspect and instead try to make the most technical intricate edits> claude vonstroke is a great example of having great musicality AND some cool tricks>>>Justin Martin is another he has the musicality part DOWN and he knows allll the tricks remember its a song peace J phlip another great new producer makes me want to go back to the drawing board it aint easy

  • @mynus303 I agree COMPLETELY. Tracks such as this show that technological advances are NOT what make a track 'good'. Other masterpieces such as Stardancer II by Klaus Schulze ALSO show the quality of Electronic Music from that era.

  • wer weiß noch was gute Musik ist? Tiefe, Ruhe, Rhythmus, Klang- das ist Tangerine Dream, aach soo gut tut das

  • I like the music very much, timeless, unforgettable and ...nobody does it better.

  • I really like Tangerine Dream!

  • Wow! It's amazing feeling to hear that after about 20 yeras of non-hearing Tangerine Dream. I've dropped over for a while and what a surprise. Nice surprise. This is the music of my youth. And Mr. Schulze of course. Oh, those were the times...

  • Bello... :)

  • This was released in 1975!!?? It sounds so fresh today, that it could be mistaken as a track that just came out NOW.

  • yes men, was released in 1975...

    amazing isn't?

  • Today without Germans Bands like T.D and Kraftwerk there would be no Techno and trance. They were revolutionaries of the history of music and still today influence the music

  • Super

  • Sirály!

  • I listened to TD as a teenager in the 70s! Although I eventually became more of a Kraftwerk fan the TD rhythms from the sequencers oscillators and modulators never left me and were the true origins of what would become DANCE music in the late 80s and 90s!! All I can say I was there before the pretenders to the synth throne! Hopefully TD will be rightfully honoured for their contribution to MUSIC! Like the DR WHO video! Always imaged this sort of imagery but in the 70s none of this was available?

  • I would say both Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream were the Pioneers of Electronic Music. I am however more of a Kraftwerk Fan. But this is great Music.

  • Great, the volume increases as the track goes on...

  • Too bad that this awesome and mystical track is cut into two parts.

Tangerine Dream are a pioneering German band and sadly enough they are not widely known, especially to the newer generations, who miss these mesmerizing sounds.

  • Just heard my fellow man! Nice track building up in a mystical wave of oddness. Liked it! Thanks for sharing ;)

  • Yes this music was from the seventies ,so strange in England we were watching Star Trek in colur but the Daleks were still in back and white, but then came visionarys like Kubrick ,Clockwork Orange ,check the music Beethoven and electronic music ,2001 ,Holst ,the planets , Dune ,Frank Herbert ,David Bowie ,Hawkwind etc . Tangerine Dream ,sign o those times but sound even better now!

  • Yeah, I know! Thanks for correcting me!

  • Hey man, do you have ancore, by TD? I love that one too!

  • No way this was made in '75, is it a sample from a classic song?

either way I like the music 5/5

  • I love this music!

  • It is modern baroque.

And their best stuff invariably are live recordings.

  • Would've been helpful if you said this was an excerpt.

  • My favourite TD track overall.

    Timeless. Powerful. Inspiring.

  • Ricochet is the best of TD, and the best of electronic music... and to think it was recorded live... If only I could be there.. History in the making.

  • One of the most amazing pieces of music ever created IMO. I've been listening to them since the 70's, and i still hear new things in music that was made over 30 years ago.

  • OLD T.D. FOR LIFE !

  • Excellent vid!

  • When you hear this, you can hardly believe that it is product of human mind, and was made on Earth.

It something that belongs to outer spheres and dimensions of space and time.

  • Pure genius, many thanks for posting..........

  • Tangerine Dream were truly way ahead of their time. This band brought electronic music inaugurated electronic music in the early 70s. Space and psychedelic Rock. Superb synthesis.

  • Musica para el viaje del alma.....

  • Comment removed

  • @LustfulMind i agree with you 100%! most tech-no artists today can't come close!

  • @LustfulMind You are right. today's music is plastic and clonework. There was alot of Satan going on back then in the 70's. I believe that's what inspired alot of the greats....he just got into their souls and said "hey man, there is no god but that which resides within man, let go of your notions man." Thats what it was. There was a lot of Satan back in the day running through these cats veins. Satan bro.

  • @ballrigors1 lol...

  • @LustfulMind: Extremely well worded buddy... I am only 24, but share the same opinion. Jean Michel Jarre is another master of electronic music! Props to the guy who posted this :D
