Music is a language. I think Lukazs has a perfect timing and phrasing. Delicate and powerful tone. But does not transmit any emotion, and he stays only inside the small world of the guitar. The guitar has every sound of the universe, is the perfect instrument, and Lukazs only developed a small part of it. Bream and Russell are very famous because their inteligence in developing this side of the guitar

I totally disagree! This guy's interpretations are among the best - namely because the transmit emotion more than anyone else's. When listening to Lukasz you feel that he takes you on a musical journey and you won't let go until he leaves the stage :) Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I absolutely agree, Its enough to listen to minute 2:15 and hear the way he does the appogiaturas. Nobody that has heard rossini would do it like this. There is this tendency for some guitarists for weird "unusual" phrasings just to be "Different". Jordi Savall said in a masterclass yesterday that there are THOUSANDS of correct possibilities when creating an interpretation, but what is not correct is simply wrong. This is, in my opinion an example...

Fantastic performance! I've seen him in concert twice, once at Peabody and once in Philly, and was spellbound both times. He is such an incredibly dynamic musician. Bravo, Lukasz!
