My aunt has down syndrome and I love her. That celebration chant at 2:52 is genius and his face when he open the present =D I love that pure and honest joy! What a gift he is.

he is awesome! :D and very enlightening, but how come he can't talk? i have a four year old brother with downs and he can already say many things as well as some sign language, and i am around many other downs children who can all speak a bit. so is it his parents that never taught him? or he just doesnt want to learn, or he also can not speak i wonder...

Retarded is not a wrong word. It is, if you use it in an insulting way. And its true the people with DS are retarded (or mentally slow and limited). But they are beautiful people on the inside and that's what counts the most. Extremely honest and pure-hearted which is very rarely in our times.

oh this little chunky dude is soooo cute! Reminds me of my brother, who also has down syndrome. Funny for a second in some clips i thought i saw my brother. Same giant white tighty whities.... My brother and others with Down Syndrome at time are a challenge......God knows my brother may be stubborn at times....but well worth it. Im blessed to have my little chunky butt in my life. Im a better person, because of him. He had taught me compassion and endless love.

I've watched this doc a few times. Jon is great. Seems like he's doing just fine. He is lucky, however, to have such a loving and supportive family. Sadly, not all people with Downs Syndrome are in the same situation as Jon. Kudos to Jon's sister for making this documentary and introducing the world to the wonder that is Jon!

Most of these places would not get the contracts from companies if they didn't offer a cheap rate. Plus if he had over $2000 in his bank account his SSI would be cut off. What Jon, and others contribute to society is of so much more value then what he brings home in a pay. Although it would be nice if someone asked companies to have equitable contracts with these places. Mr. Obama, looking to make up for that comment?

John is here to teach us that wordly possessions don't matter. That we can be happy, and less stressed out about our lives. The simple life is the easy life. Technology takes time away from the ones you love,and you don't know the effects it has on our bodies. John will forever be a child, and thats how God would like us to be like the heart of a child. Thanks God for bringing John into our lives he has a great purpose here.
