They have the highest unemployment rate, the highest number of unmarried parents, highest number of people not attending higher education, the highest number of black males in jail. exist in order to CELEBRATE all of the
contributions that people from various
groups have made to the US history
and to allow these groups to 'invite'
others to 'join in' on the celebration.
Contrary to "myth" spread by 'the ignorant',

Whites have been killed , enslaved, tortured,more than all the blcks ever have and for a longer period yet have risen and built cathedrals while they were still building one story huts. Explain that -and all their achievement "Black History Month" show is that being in a "white" society has given them education and opportunity to come up from the level they were at both developmentally and intellecturally.
