shit dude my nitro truggy didnt have a failsafe on it and a few weeks ago i was rippin around in a field by my house when all of the sudden it just took off. it went screaming around the field for a good 2 or 3 minuits until it just died. now it wont start up again. what happened? do you think the engine could have blown?
question- can you use wd-40 as after run oil or do you have to get that the actual after run oil? also on you car do you have a fuel cooler the slver thingy? nice vid
@aaronibarra400 i just got a traxxas nitro rustler and it says run without the body for break in i beleive the engine is hotter during break in like car or dirtbike your piston is actually rounding your cylinder wearing the rings to the cylinder but just run once on a hot day then take the body off and let it cool for a 15 minutes and i havent had any problems.....also remember that cleaning your engine will allow better airflow (ive ben thinking about cutting holes in my body and what not)

Nitro fuel already comes ready to use. There is no mixing required. For a 1/10 scale car you might want to use 20% nitro fuel and stick to it. It is not good to switch from one percentage to the other. XTM Racing makes good nitro fuel. I've used it for years.
@holmes730 dont use xtm racing use odonnells its has lubricants in the fuel to help keep the motor from locking up and keeps the piston in the motor lubricated. when u buy fuels for your nitro cars u should read the labels and make shure it it what ur looking 4
Most of the stuff you will need is mentioned in the video. You definitely want to buy it a fail safe unit because if you use the car without one and your batteries run low or the car gets too far, you will lose control and crash it.

Did you know there is no need for the digital thermometer? Most modern nitro rc cars shut off when they are too hot and won't bother starting until they cool down.
This comment that you posted just shows me how little you know about nitro engines. Modern nitro engines are not equipped with any special technology or temp sensor that shuts them off. If you let your nitro engine shut off due to overheating you will actually damage the engine or seize it. It is necessary to randomly check the engines temp with a thermometer to prevent damage and to help with the tuning.
@angelizquier1 Of course, but if you know why your engine turns off and still has fuel left in the tank it has obviously overheated and you should let it cool down. This does not cause much harm at all, only consecutive attempts of starting the engine damages it :)

you know for AA batteries you can go and buy one of the batteries that you can do electro magnets with and they go for about 4-5 dollars and they have 32 AA batteries in them
