If there is an answer to this it would be greatly appreciated. But how can I have my Operating system installed on one of my drives and have all my games installed on my other drive.

You see it goes like this, I want my OS installed on the C: and my games installed on my D:. But when I install my games, it installs it in the Wine folder in my homefolder. I want to keep these two separated so when I have to reinstall my OS, I won't have to back my stuff up.

I see problems with this. Much of the charm of Ubuntu is it's custom tailored user friendliness that comes from user tested, time tested revision. This type of expansion could take that away.

I would not recommend you using a VM like VMware of something like that, it slows down the application. As far as i used the demo version of unity3d on ubuntu using wine it worked quite well!! XD

Windows is really falling behind. Its getting ahead as a single computer, but now, people have phones and tablets, laptops. Windows OS's dont talk to each other at all. Ubuntu seems to have to down and Mac OS has it as well. Windows has that Mesh thing, but its really slow, ineffective.

Why ubuntu doesn't make an super pc. I mean a branded notebook. We now know that Microsoft is not a problem and Apple is the real evil master, why not focusing on a notebook with few hardware options, like apple does, squeezed to the max? I already see a black aluminum slim notebook with the ubuntu logo. I know in this sad world marketing is everything but an optimized hardware would be a good start, and Ubuntu can easily replace the expensive Apple Facebook machines even for an average user.

Canonical/Ubuntu entering into the Smart TV market has a sort of "blacberryish" feel when they entered into the tablet market with their own version of a tablet. Imho I much rather see Ubuntu enter into the cell phone market with a proprietary phone. Furthermore, System 76 and Canonical should work closely together to do a complete re-design of their laptops/computers. Ubuntu is a SOLID OS, its time the Microsoft/Apple world know this.
