  • I can tell you're singing louder than you think you are.

  • I'm just ignoring all of you haters... just so you know! :)

Y para que les de más rabia les voy a escribir en español! buahahaha! no me importan lo que digan! no me sacaron del teatro y no moleste a nadie. Si no les gusta mi video, vean otros :D

  • @chikimc11 You aren't fool anyone...I and many others speak Spanish...

  • Also, if you are singing along, it means you really aren't paying that close attention to the show itself. And the people around you paid to see Kerry sing, not you.

  • I don't know why everyone is complaining about her singing along when taping these shows are technically illegal, and they could have asked her to leave if she was caught.

  • @Imflyinghighdefying That can't be true because Actors are not allowed to say what their salary is.

  • The camera is close to her face, that's why she sounds loud. Calm your balls guys. She's really into the show.

  • Well, this was probably the most energetic period of Kerry's Elphaba when she was principle. It shows in the movement. The vocals were actually poor for her standard, but the energy of the motion was just so good.

  • i know someone who got hated on by about the whole theatre, and asked to leave because they sang. not a good idea, save it for home ;)

  • not be mean but yeah singing along with her mmm not good idea yeah you must have been excited but other people around you wouldn't want to you here you sing another than that good video of kerry xx

  • Woo love a bit of kerry :D

  • if you were sitting near me i would have wanted to hit you. this is my ALL time fave song, and too see it live i cry everytime cuz it means so much to me.....so even if you arent loud just dont do it, its only proper theater manners

  • where did u sit

  • Hey, people... I also agree that singing along its anoying, but you guys have to understand 2 things:

1: i wasnt singing loud! the thing is that i had the camara hidden in my jacket, so my voice sounds very loud, but really was almost a whisperer.

2: I flew from South America, JUST to see a good cast as Kendra and Kerry are!! so gimme a break!!! i was bitting my lips the entire show! i had to sing at least a little bit!!! it was TOO much excitement!!!

Oh! and the show was on August 3rd, 2008

  • @chikimc11 I understand that sooo good! It's very annoying when evereyone's complaining about your singing ;)

On what date did you see RENT?

  • @chikimc11

I totally understand you. Don't listen to people who are whining about it.

  • lol to the person singing along

  • @Imflyinghighdefying

The understudies are payed as ensembles, I think.

  • Personally, I would LOVE it to get paid to be in a broadway show! I mean come on, who wouldn't love that?!?!

  • This is Kerry and Kendra on B'Way right?

  • Yup! :D

  • When i saw it i was also singing along:d

I got some weird looks, and Glinda ( Dianne) looked at me becuase I sat on 2nd row:D

  • Frankly I'd be annoyed if you were singing along that loudly...

  • it was so amazing the cast where brilliant I didnt see kery but the girls I did see where fantastic

  • cant wait to see wicked 2 days to go

  • very very true

  • i dont think kerry sounds as good on Bway. it must be so hard to do an American accent the whole time!! why did she do it? they asked her to come from England, they know she has an English accent so they shouldnt have asked if they wanted her to sound american...then they could have just got an American actress. and people say Alexia is too young, but kerry sounded so 'sweet' and young on the 'im the one you want....' line.

  • Me to be she is still amazing! :]

  • is someone singing along w/ her????

  • yep!!! at the climax. LOOOOL. at least its only for like 5 seconds.

  • Yes

  • Omg! Who the hell was singing!?! That's such bad theatre etiquette!

  • is this for trade?

  • my god kerrys amazing

  • Lol.

Equity requires at LEAST $1,422 per week.

  • More than that, at least the broadway one makes more. Not to sure about the tour or international ones.

  • The singing of the filmer in this video was absolutely ANNOYING. No one in that theater payed there money to hear some teenage wanabee sing, so dont ever do it again. if i were there i would have been like "SHUT YOUR MOUTH"

  • when i saw wicked for the first time there was another group of kids behind me singing in popular. i could have punched them in the face. . . . i just turned and said "we're not here to hear you sing" during the clapping. anyways. . . its fucking annoying, don't do it.

  • stop bashing them for singing along

most videos of Kerry are zoomed in

at least he captured the flying effect

  • how did kerry end up on broadway? im not putting her down im just wondering wether they brought her over from london because she was so brilliant or somthing. how did she get here?

  • She was so awesomely brilliant in Wicked in West End so they made a contract for her to go to Broadway to share her awesomely brilliant singing technique

I bet she's really, really rich!

Usually Broadway and West End Stars get paid $35,000 a week!

And she's been in the show for almost three years now!

  • tbh, its a good job she went to broadway,

its made her so much better, and stronger vocally + acting wise.

she just needs to drop that ridiculous accent shes gained, lol.

  • it's definitely not 35000 a week

  • You're right. The ensemble members only get $1,422 a week, so it's not $35,000 a week for Broadway or West End "stars".

  • idina did get paid about $30,000/week to return to the role in london, but that was kinda a one time thing. I am sure the leads get paid enough to stick around.

  • What's your source? lol

  • Ensemble members never get paid a lot, leads depending on the play/musical can get paid a good amount of money. I have heard a majority of the Elphaba leads were paid around 11,000 a week or more for Broadway.

  • Yup. You're correct.

But not it's not 30000 a week. lol

  • True, but I was referencing the people who said that they didn't make a lot of money, I would personally be very happy with 11,000 a week, plus if they are good they get money for photo shoots, interviews, guest appearances.

  • Yeah. I would too, but it's still not 35,000. I know the leads get paid a lot. ;-)

  • the minimum pay for any cast member of Wicked is about 1,500 a week (Equity minimum for all Broadway shows)

  • (1,422) ;-)

  • Actually Broadway and West End actors do not get paid a lot at all. Not even close to $35,000 a week. Not even in a month.

  • oops i meant $3,500

    sorry

  • Kerry's hand movements in the flying sections are always consistently the same - it's great! Show's that she's put a lot of thought into it. :)

  • I'm assuming it was completely necessary to sing along?

    ...

  • I agree lol.

  • LOL xD

  • How do you not know id sorafdfs isn't fed up with YouTube bullshit?

Over half the people on here scam, hack, say terrible things about actors/actresses, and just crave control and attention.

So to be honest, sorafdfs has a reason.

    kthanxbai ;]

  • you should really add kerry ellis to the tagline, you'll get lots more views and admiration!

  • I really wish Kerry wouldn't throw away "So, if you care to find me" the way she does...her awesome "look to the western sky!" would be so much more effective.

  • There are many audios and videos of Kerry out there in which she sounds not really passionate...

  • okay, i think everyone should calm down, she sang for a small portion of the song, everyone is acting like she stood up and belted it with kerry. give her some credit for even recording this.

  • if i was kerry i would have got down and slapped the bastard

  • I agree that it was rude, but god you have taken it to far by saying this person is a tranny , cunt n an ugly freak thats a bit harsh :\

  • a few things

Kerry is amazing in the video

do u have the date cuz I seen her on broadway too

and dont sing at a broadway show its rude and annoying if I were around you I would have told u to shut up

  • Yay Kerry :) what date was this??

  • My jaw dropped when you started singing along. And it wasn't even a little hum you started blasting your face off. If I was sitting next to you and I would have told you to shut up. And maybe even slapped you for ruining the performance for me.

  • Wow Kerry was amazing. I loved her "Look to the Western Sky." and that there wasn't a lot of space between "Bring Me Down".

And I do agree with everyone. That was unbelievably rude and very disrespectful not only to the people around you but that was really embarassing for yourself. People pay to hear the actors and not some fan in the audience start singing along. You should watch out because there are people that will freak out and slap you or so something much horrible. Very embarassing.

  • whoa thats horrible,, dont sing along next time

  • this video proves how much more amazing she's become since she's come back to london!!! and i agree never sing along its just not nice!! if kerry knew...

  • yea, kerry is great, just the off pitch, wailing fan girl wasnt.

  • Wow.....you are probably the rudest frikin Wicked fan i have ever seen. Please don't go back to LIVE theatre untill you learn some theatre rules: NEVER SING ALONG WITH THE SHOW!!! Unbelievably rude and disrespectful. If i was behind you or in front of you, i WOULD have slapped you! Or call an usher. unbelieble. People payed to go see Kerry and Kendra in Wicked, not your shreaking little voice. Don't ever do that again...

  • I doubt that she qualifies as being the single rudest ever. At least she was on pitch.

But seriously, save the singalongs for the car ride home.

  • Ok. ONE OF the rudest

  • :o was it me or did kerry riff her FLYING on i'm flying high

    that 's pretty sick :P

  • Nah, she did her normal, "FlyAAAANG" that she always does.

  • great video, but word of advice. NEVER sing along a a show. that was unbelievably disrespectful.

  • its alright if youre with friends and its under your breath or miming....people do get very into it. im sure this wasnt too loud, its just because its the person recording or someone sitting near them.
