It is great, but I guess you wanted to ask which mods I used, right? Well, I used a bunch of different mods and tryed combining them to one. But I don't have it anymore as the complex mod is just... amazing :D Search for it, it's the best mod out there in my opinion!

You can actually track missiles by holding alt and either clicking on them (which is hard) or making a square around them.

Hey, I'm off to the next level in HW 1. You know the level with a sphere of frigates around some inhibitor? Well I'm going to salvage them all! ;) ...and destroy that inhibitor o course, si i finally gonna reach my home world. :)

I just tried playing my old Homeworld 1 on XP but it crashes. :( ...I guess it's time for me to buy Homeworld 2 then. :) Do you think it will run well on my Dell Intel 2.8 Ghz / XP Pro SP3 / 2 GB ram / ATi 9200se 128 mb ram ? Judging by the requirements it should but looking at the graphics it looks much more demanding than version 1...

Anyone know what's the problem with Homeworld 1 on XP BTW?

Homeworld 1 works fine with windows 98 mode enabled, just rightclick the shortcut, press settings, go to compatibility and use the windows 98 compatibility option^^

And yes, your PC should be able to run Homeworld 2 without problems :) The trick for the high graphics is the resolution change at the end of the shortcut path. But it eats alot more resources then ;)

I tried to enable the win98 mode but i got a message saying i had the wrong CD.:/ ...maybe I'm suppose to use the second CD? You know the one with the music? I'll try it.

Also, i downloaded the Homeworld 2 demo today and this one simply doesn't work. :( ..now how am i suppose to go on with life without Homeworld? ;)

do you have all the newest drivers for your graphiccard and the other stuf? :) If not, download and install them. You should find them fast. If you don't know your exact hardware specs just download the program Everest Home, it's free and shows the whole hardware on your PC.

Tell me if it worked please. And for the Homeworld 1 problem. Maybe your CD has a scratch? I don't want to post illegal stuf now, but as you have the original CD I don't think anyone will care when you use this:

Yeah, sure I won't post a link^^ But if I would be such a guy you would have to search for a CRACK for your game :P Sure I would never say something like that^^

Oh, and to the Homeworld 2 problem. Maybe your graphics are set to 16bit instead of 32 bit. Rightclick on desktop, settings, settings, colourquality, 32bit. Could solve the problem :)

But don't forget about what I said, update your drivers^^

Yes I'll try the 32 bit setting but i think I'm already at 32 bit.

HW 2 still doesn't work at all on my Pc. And it's a news install.

But you know what? It's not the first time i download a demo that doesn't work. So maybe that doesn't mean anything and the game will work if i buy it?..

Hey there, sorry for the late reply. I've been busy. And thanks for Everest Home. I didn't know about that and i could really use a soft like this. Downloaded and will try it.

In the mean time, I've solved my problem i had with HM 1. What i did is save the game right before the moment it always crashed. But I've also updated the sound card drivers and my graphic card. So I'm not sure what fix it.

or you could save the money to buy a new PC first^^ Try ebay, there are nice new PCs for 100 euros with 300-400 euro specs :)

I'm also thinking about getting win7 and get a big flat TV to watch TV and play video game and work on my Pc etc.. And then get ride of my tube TV and the coach in front of it and save 8" by 6" feet of space in my apartment. Basically, I'd like to have 1 entertainment station instead of 2.

Sins of a Solar Empire is a nice game, but I think if you use mods Homeworld 2 is much better. -->multiplayer Sins of a Solar Empire , singleplayer Homeworld 2

The graphics are the same if you use the fx-mod for homeworld, which changes the graphics (you can still play online with a graphics mod).

I combined them with the modding tools download from moddb^^. I will ask the modding teams if I can upload my combined version for you. If they give me the go I will upload it :)
