You have another fan! :) & this video does deserve so many more views. just bought that mic by the way, this vid was part of what convinced me. keep at it :)
@BlackoutProducer oh, thank you. Well, the interface is very important since it probably has the mic preamp that you will use if you don't have one yet. If you have a separate hi-q preamp you can use almost every interface with a low noise/signal. The software. i don't think it's important for the sound but it's really really important a good workflow for you to be comfortable with. PT9 now, to me, is the best.
Have you still recorded something with you mic? do u like it?
@AnzoEggsidedYo I did not. I bought the Nt2 about 10 years ago and there were not really budget mics like today. So this was the top i could afford. But i have to say that it fits my voice very nicely. For the future i will try everything, included nt2a perhaps.. thank you.
listen.. i have been watching this vid several times.. and it simply sound fantastic to me.. i already said so.. but i have to repeat :) you diserve 5 stars for that.. really..
Thank you. Well.. it was a "fast" setup. What I can remember.. and older version of Sonar as sequencer, sonar echo (just a little), budget outboard reverb (one of the first setups of a Behringer Virtualizer pro) and Liquid Mix (I can't remeber the exact simulations). After a while it seems to me just a little too bright.. hmm.. who knows.
well no.. the effects is very close to the original.. i liked it alot..
i work with a free sound software called "audacitY" and the only effect I could give was reverb.. i maybe should try a echo-like effect and anything "liquid" as you did to get the same effect.. i am sure you will not be able to help me?
Ok. Liquid Mix is a device that can provide only 2 things: compression & equalization. The other 2 effects are delay and reverb. Almost every audio soft can do this. Audacity do not support VST but there's a wrapper around. And a lot (a lot!) of free VST on the net. After that you have to try various settings to hit your own.
If you want experiment, please do. Though I don't think tremolo is a "standard" voice option. Work on EQ & Compression, then blend some reverb and delay. Rule of thumb: echo gives deepth, reverb gives wideness. But of course voice must be clean and properly equalized. It''s the hardest task.

Thank you for your comments guys. Expecially because Chris' performances cannot be paralleled.
I sincerely think that original song is enough, still perfect and a whole cover doesn't make more sense. But I wanted to try and see "how it sounds".
Anyway. Thank you again :)

Really good!!! The mix is just almost perfect, and you have a great voice! Keep it up =D.
