I went 3 rounds with a Thai guy in college. I Never took so many hard body shots before or since. He was exactly my size, weight and height. Man, he was tough to fight. @thaibox07 We just boxed but his body shots were like off the charts. He knew how to throw them which is a real talent. The way he was able to find the openings constantly no matter how I tried to protect against them and then the way he would just dig them in the gut hard, deep, and tough as hell! You can't describe it, you have to feel them to know what I mean! Man I learned a lot from him in those 9mins.!!!

@thaibox07 I practice muay thai and i'd say its down to the mentality. Alot of martial arts are about defending yourself above all else and trying to score the occasional shot. Muay thai mentality is more i dont care... If it hurts me its hurting you more. If you even look at the basic stance its alot more aggressive than say boxing etc. That and shin conditioning is of massive importance. My shins are a disaster zone of cracks and bumpy bits but theyre hard as rock now.
