Around the 25 second mark you can hear the engine top out for just a second... By topping out I mean turning as fast as it could no mater what you run in it...it couldn't turn anymore RPMs.

There is a hobby/craft/sport of building and flying large model aircraft that use these engines. This was a waste but by the sound of the engine, it was already on its last legs. In the end, it sounded too as though the plug just got fouled.

Well I'm not one for waisting a perfectly good motor but you failed to realize the thing is air cooled and has a fan on the magneto and you still had the air shroud around the engine. Thats why it didnt blow because it was still getting cooled. Next time take the air shroud off!! Otherwise you're waisting your time. But truthfully I think you could have put that motor to way better use than grenading it. Thats just me though.

i did the same thang last weekend used streight gas for one tank didnt blow so i mixed a bunch of different baking ingredients togather in the gas and it lasted about 15 minuts. i took it all apart and the only damage i could see was that the rings looked like they had welded themselves to the piston.
