I read an old account made by a Cheyenne brave that said the Ute women were dark skinned and ugly, whilst beauty is in the eye of the beholder I accept, but are the Utes darker skinned than other tribes from the same?

georgewashington420 - thank you for commenting. I live in the Ute Pass area of Colorado. It was my intention to honor the heritage of the Ute Indians, and to educate. I hope I've done that.
@debi1054 Thank you for making this video. When I was a girl in Colorado, we had little interaction with the Utes other than learning names of streets and highways carrying Ute names or composed of Ute words. We were told that the Utes don't like to interact with us. I am thankful for this glimpse! Please make more.
i guess i will the first to comment on this vid. it is nice to see that my people are being represented in this digital age. i'm half Akimel O'odham(pima) and nooochew(ute).
I would like to thank the Ute Indian tribe for letting my school use it's name as our mascot. Thank you very much. GO UTES!

Utes were the rats in the mid to late 1800's. They help the government to kill there own native people.

I wish I could know how my family is connected to the Utes. I've been curious and have wanted to know for years.
