Sad story of a pageant girl who was found murdered and raped back in the 90's. Pageant and talent shows involving kids should be illegal and considered child abuse. I've seen it on youtube too. Videos of little girls and boys dancing to provocative songs. It's disturbing. Some may view it as adorable or cute, but there are many crazy people out there.

i have some friends that have their daughters do occasional pageants to boost their confidence and stage presence. Their daughters are really shy and it has helped them immensely! of course they stuck to NATURAL pageants..not the crazy Glitz pageants.

If someone in my country spray-tans a 2 year old little girl and shaves her eyebrows despite her screams (girls like dolls and glittery stuff, but they rarely like pain), I'd call the social services. Maybe a 10 year old likes this stuff on her own, and even then, I'd encourage her into acting or music. But I don't believe it from 1 to 5 year olds.

Well I personally dont think they ever look like 40 year olds, they still look like little kids. Im pretty sure adults dont dress up in little cupcake dresses. Im pretty sure they dont blow kisses on stage. Im pretty sure most adults dont even have the guts to do what they do. They look like kids. Get your info straight.

@reallyurstupid Judging a parent who puts stiletto heels and fake-tanning on a 2 to 5 year old child is not ignorant, it is the ethical thing to do. If someone in my country spray-tans a 2 year old little girl and shaves her eyebrows despite her screams (girls like dolls and glittery stuff, but they rarely like pain), I'd call the social services. Maybe a 10 year old likes this stuff on her own, and even then, I'd encourage her into acting or music. But I don't believe it from 1 to 5 year olds.

Many of these girls are pressured into these pageants from their mothers. Most kids does not want to disappoint their parents, and are eager to please them. And at the end, when they all stand in line and the winners are separated from the losers, it is heartbreaking to see the disappointment in their faces, while the winner is standing in front with her plastic smile - and the host, Michael Galanes is singing his little song. It is just disgusting.

A child doesn't yet know at that age what is good and what is bad. a child doesn't know how their skin is going look like when they are older if they put all that shit now!their mental health will also be damaged if they are so stressed because of pageants
