i rented the game and in the first level a itallian or german soilger got stuck on my knife . i unlocked the knife for getting lots of kills of something like that.

what kind of guns are they trying to destroy?Why the hell do airborne carry german weapons?You call that a landing?How the frik did the trailblazers pop GREEN smoke on a tower guarded by things that are supposed to be AA guns?Why are they doing a drop in broad daylight?Why do you fly that close to AA guns?and there was never a "flaktower" that airborne had to take out.Also, the voice-acting isn't british, and it certainly isnt American. The last official aiborne op was Market Garden

@PyramidHeadX yes i know there were batteries of AA guns,but why would you put them on a stone tower?it would be a beautiful target for bombers, plus the repeated firing of the guns would crack the stone work. Plus, i said that there was never an official AIRBORNE objective to take out a flakturm

@alejeron True, there might not have been any missions conducted to secure these towers, but they did exist. Why they decided to build them, well I can't be sure about that, however I don't believe they are as impractical as you may think.

you should have picked better guns for the last level, NEVER have 2 assault type guns, have a sniper rifle like the Springfield or the G43 and an assault type gun like the Shotgun or the Tommy gun.

LOL thank you MoH for skewing the whole World War. First there are "super" nazis that can take 3 sniper bullets to the head with out dying. Now a giant tower that can only be described as DOOM fortress. Why no just have Hitler ride in on a giant spider armed with Mini guns???!!!

I must say, when I read about Flakturme, I thought they were not so effective. But now that I saw this Generation 3 Combat Tower (even though this one is fictional), then despite the absence of the Fire Control Tower (Flakturmewere usually in pairs), then no wonder pilots were afraid of those bunkers.

How could they be ineffective? Fortress, too many AA guns to count, can survive direct hits from the heaviest non special bombs back then. As fictional as this one is, that's how they were.

Shame Nazi germany's idea of fortresses died with 'em. Imagine a US fortress. I'd serve there :D

I wonder how these bunkers would do in modern times. USS Iowas proved to be worthly - no missile today is built to penetrate an armor of a battleship - or so I heard. Then how with Flak Towers - also with missiles and things like that

The problem with batteships is that they were built as capital ships but were eventually put to seccondary support roles and becoming more vulnerable to cheaper things. You could very well sink an iowa with two or three missiles.

The only country that still uses Flak like this is North Korea, and the've perfected the art of Triple-a. To the point of shooting down missiles.

Flak towers, if built in great-er numbers than germany's few, would survive and reign supremacy, no doubt.

Your computer is BAD ASS the graphics look beautiful! This is one of my favorite missions in video game history, I prefer to start from the bottom of the tower and work my way up. It's just a lot more epic when you finally reach the top and see the burning city around you.
