  • holy crap pause at 2:16

  • WOW.SAD.

  • When I saw the baby in the water and then out of the water I almost cried =(

  • its a bad thing on everyones part except the oldest daughter, little boy shouldve gottn up,lil girl shouldve listened, and mom shouldve checked on him herself!

  • I'm curious about something. How did the eldest sister remove this kid from the tub without getting scalded herself, and without touching the burn? This video is horrible to watch.

  • She picked him up with a towel.

  • this kid is probaby now 17 years old i'm sure hes probably going thru either his junior or senior year in high school...i wonder if he found himself on youtube yet?

  • i alomost cried poor baby =(

  • unreal

  • Kids (including me) listen to your parents if they say no don't do what they say no to and that video shows why i flipped iut today and got a bad cut on my arm from my mom

  • See this is why you listen to your parents!

  • *gulps* the video is starting i hope he lives

  • THIS IS SAD.

    I LIKE IT.

    HE SURIVED YAY

  • OH MY GOD ... I WAS CRYING....

  • jaffacake you r going to hell because you dont believe in him.

  • Oh my god I feel like I'm gonna pass out. How scary and way too sad.

  • ohhh poor kid. He made it through that and ended up with a mullet?!

  • ah i felt bad

  • Recently, we responded to a call where an elderly lady had a heart attack and her 12-yr. old granddaughter-who was trained in it-gave CPR, unfortunately to no avail.

People on the scene blamed the girl for not being able to save the woman-whom WE couldn't even save-and the girl now believes she caused her grandmother's death.

A helpful bit of advice if you're ever at the scene of an emergency: DO NOT DO THIS.

It's unhelpful, harmful and positively untrue.

  • Hello! Its was horrible!=(But the child be saved thank of rescue did it and the doctors too!=)

I be happy when she be better from the scalded and she was well after it happened=)

    Give you 5 star!=)

    Greeting TheCARRE74=)

  • bad case of parenting again geez.

  • o ....... m.........g look at the skin

  • JESUS, I just hope he can still have kids cause i can't see that happing now?

  • aww!

  • OMG this is so horrible O_O I was in tears when I saw the baby in the water

  • when i heard them say theres no way this baby is going to live i had a sad feeling but not tears

  • Poor little guy.

  • omg whoes heater could be that hot jeez omg my skin is crawling and im realy hot lol but realy who wouldent lock doors!?

  • A lot of older houses and water heaters didn't have water regulators on them. The regulators prevent water from a certain temperature from leaving the heater. Without these, sometimes water as hot as 160-200 degrees can come out. (for a reference point, hot hottubs are around 105).

  • I only got to part 1:48 and I couldnt watch it anymore! no more things like that for me!

  • Iv'e learned about third degree burns in scouts.

  • how hot could that possibly be i take a bath that is very hot. ( it relaxes me at night) and i'm not burned at all

  • well...his skin waa flaking off, and he wasnt crying...that means his body was in shock. Do the math, jackass..

  • well babies have sensitive skin you idiot

  • this was a small child so his skin was probably not as strong as yours

  • OOH OUCH O.o!

  • poor baby lost allmost all of its skin but what i am happy about is at least he/she didnt die! allso the girl probley didnt know what she was doing what i could say is allways lock the doors.

  • It was a boy.

  • Man my skin started to crawl when I saw that! I didn't know THAT could happen! Man! poor baby!

  • god is amazing(:

  • "god" DOES NOT EXIST.

  • different people have different beliefs

  • he so does you dont know what your talking about

  • I feel so bad for his sister! "I love him." Bless her heart!!

  • OUCH!

  • so sad

  • Poor kid...>_>

Can't blame the little girl for wanting to help her mom. All little kids want to help.

  • whose water heater is set that hot??

  • When I first saw this episode when I was six, I have to say that I was scarred for life (no pun intended).

But watching it now, I learned some very important lessons like how to deal with people who have been burned. Thanks Rescue 911! I wish this show were still on.

  • we as adlut will not get burn like that from water becasue our skin is full selveoped as for a infant it is still growing and is sentiove we would suffer 2 degree pruns

  • I'm pretty sure an adult would also be pretty badly burned from bath water that hot. Check out "Bathtub Seizure" from Episode 617.

  • How sad that a 16 month old kid got burned. that little girl is a domb girl because she said the water was cold and it was very hot

  • That little would have gotten in trouble with me. Her mom specifically told her to wait until she finished with the dishes. Poor baby :(.

  • That girl should have just waited until her mother was done with the dishes.

  • Ouch. That's all I have to say at 1:30 when you see scalded RJ. I would have flagged the video for it's potential disturbingness to some people, but remember, ALWAYS check the water temperature before you step into water.

Not to mention that a novel I'm writing features many of the scalding episodes of Rescue 911, including this one.

  • the poor little girl who did it to him. she probably felt so guilty the poor little girl she didnt mean it you can see it wen she says "by accident i turned it the other way"

    she looks so sad

  • Comment removed

  • Poor baby I hope he's ok

  • Okay i know RJ is the one that got burned, but i feel really bad for Leslie. That poor little girl has got to feel like its all her fault.

  • wow the poor thing. I bet he likes his shower a little on the cold side!

  • Comment removed

  • the girl only wanted to help.jediskunk67.

  • Poor baby, I hope he's ok

  • i ;ove rescue 911 clips

  • That young girl is sooooooooo disobedient and STUPID!!!!!!!!! Why didn't she listen to her mom? Why didn't the mom come to check on her baby rather than sending the daughter to?

  • What a stupid comment. I am sure you were the PICTURE of maturity at that age and NEVER did something you weren't supposed to do.

  • omg...I hope people know better today what to do... -.-

  • maby 1,302

  • allgood2000 you are awesome! i watched this show as a child and it was by chance i looked for it again on here. thanks so much for all the uploads

  • If a show is syndicated, that means it's sold to multiple channels at the same time. New hour-long episodes of Rescue 911 only aired on CBS, but they made a 30-minute version that was put into syndication (other channels besides CBS showed this version). The 30-minute version consisted of two repeat segments taken from past hour-long episodes.

  • are these people acting the whole thing out so they can capture it on film?

  • Yes. It's a true story, but there weren't camera crews there when it actually happened.

  • how did they record the recording though?

  • *sees the kid in the water* HOLY FUCK!!!!! How many degrees is that anyways?????????? wow.

  • I'm no doctor, but I would guess 3rd Degree

  • ouch

  • thats crazy about 200 degree

  • I'm talking about the burn, how hot the water is doesn't matter in the end, what matters is doing all you can to save a life, and just be thankful he survived.

  • usually, i take a shower or bath with hot water, but not that hot! I mean, look at that kid! He's as mushy as a rotten tomatao! He's as red as a fire truck! and he's as hot as an oven! see what happens to thing poor child at 1:06

  • The skin looked disgusting

  • omg the mom made her daughter hold him. seriously dont make your daughter hold her badly bruned brother. and i feels bad for the little sister it wasnt her fault and shell feel guilty her whole life

  • omg he' s not even crying

  • she was 4 she dident know whta she was doing and she knows what she did but she does feel bad so dont post bad comments about lesley..

  • those actor where rubbish

  • I hate to see babys cry it makes me cry. its so sad espicially this baby he's so cute!

  • That happend to my cousin when he was 2 years old 2 years ago, and I can still see burn marks until today! But, it happened through that tea boiler spilled on him.

  • I remember this!

  • the sister. man.

  • OMg i cried so hard i know it was not the sisters fault but o my gosh i cryed when i saw that poor baby! i thought he was gonna die

  • 0:20 is used in #628 where a boy named joey calls 911 as his mom passes out and he calls 9-1-1- on the cell phone.

  • I remember this one! I don't remember seeing it when it originally aired, but I know I saw it when it was reran on the Family Channel! I also remember a group of neighborhood kids and myself were hooked on Rescue 911, and we'd get together quite often to swap stories to see who had seen what. Good times, LOL!

I know this segment was reran on the Family Channel, but was it syndicated as well?

  • Yes, it was syndicated. It was paired with "Chance Encounter" from Episode 616.

  • What was "Chance Encounter" about?

  • Two women, both named Jennifer, who fell off a cliff while hiking. They were found completely by chance when a search and rescue team searched the canyon for some kids were skipping school and instead found the two Jennifers.

  • Geez did you hear the mom tell the other child " go see what happened !" ....its your child lady YOU go see !!

  • someones grounded for life

  • someones grounded for life

  • I was in complete shock. what were they thinking?

  • that little girls shouldent of done that

  • "He will be able to lead a fairly normal life..." Not so long as that poor kid has that mullet! lol!!!!

  • That doctor's eyes are so wide. She looks like a bug. Ew its getting on my nerves.

  • I don't think the little boy would blame his sister. In the end he was able to smile and play like a regular kid. There's no point in blaming the little girl because what's done is done. She was only a child and children are bound to make many mistakes as they grow older.

  • they should have turn down the water heater and punshied the younger daughter for puting her brother in the tab

  • poor little baby :'(

  • that hurts me just looking at it!!!

  • I got scalded by hot melted butter on the toe once.

  • the poor baby eeww the skin omg

  • wow, you dont know what genitalia is? its your balls and dick, idiot.

  • its hard to watch kids jump on a trampoline. knowing those are dangerous to. My bf broke his neck on one, paralized him neck down, quadrapelegic now.

  • I was holding my hand over my face the whole video !! One reason y i dont let my 3 year old cousin give my 1 year old cousin a bath .He always wants too ... but i never let him .. i love them both ~! <3

  • I feel so bad for the sister who gave him the bath.

That would be terrible to live with.

  • I have a habit of all ways tuning on cold water first and letting it run for 5 seconds ,because a long time ago ,everyday i got burned badly by the hot water

  • OH MY OD ! POOR LITTLE THING ! The mom said no he's ok he doesn't need a bath but she went off and gave him one and gave him two or three-degree burns

  • I live in Clio, Michigan!

  • Shit, I was 7 years old when this happened.

    I feel old ._.

  • omg the same thing happened to me when i was 3!! wow i can relate!

  • that sucks the little sister has to live with that all her life

  • im sure within these 17yrs the boy forgave his sister.

  • no she dont

  • That's what I was thinking. You look at that poor girl, scared and trying to cover her ears, and you know all this time, she's upset and really afraid. It wasn't her fault really, it was a mistake, and I just think someone there should have been reassuring and comforting her, because that had to be horrible for her.

  • She should have been punished for the accident including a spanking & sitting in the corner for a whole week!

  • i would never speak to my sister again.

  • same here

  • 4 deggre burns

  • man he got well badly burned his skin was turning into a liquidy mush

  • It was like when I got scalded on the toe with hot melted butter.

  • Jeezum Crow!

  • its not a big deal the body sheds it skin if burned or overheats to cool itself that about 3 layers of skin becaue u can see in his body a bit it is not a big deal it will hurt like a bitch but no need to call 911

  • kevinbomb123 - u jurk!! did u see what happened!!! i almost fanted.... i geuss his skin was too young and fragle!!

  • your such a jerk!

That child was going to die and you think that they shouldn't have called 911!

  • You wouldnt make a good doctor

  • WTF are you smoking?

  • R U KIDDING ME THIS IS A 15TH MONTH OLD WITH THIRD DEGREE BURNS UR THE BIGGEST JERK I MEEN ITS LIKE 120 DEGREE WATER ....well not tht hot but STILL

  • it's actors so it could've been much worse T___T

  • Burns of that severity cause infection, which very young children DON'T deal with very well.

While the skin's waiting to "shed" infection could take his life.

Also, when people lose that much fluid they go into hypovolemic shock which, if untreated, can cause death faster than an infection.

    I know this b/c I'm a Paramedic.

  • This is why water heaters in households with children should never be set higher than 100 degrees...

  • yea most hot water heaters or furnaces have settings for the temp of hot water, it usually isnt hot enough to burn skin to that degree

  • everyone needs to check their hot water heaters to make sure it is set not to hot

  • her kid screamed out and she told her other child 'go check on him'....bad mother!

  • thats exactly what i was thinking AND why would she make her daughter hold him, yes i see why she wouldnt want to grab him but set him on the couch or something, dont make your daughter go thought that.

  • Starts at 1:48 to 8:09 Is Just Begins

  • Gosh, how hot was the water? He was only in there for what,3 seconds? I feel soooooo sorry for him!

  • He was in there for a lot longer than that. But at three seconds of 150 degree water, a child, who's skin is much more vulnerable, can develop a 2nd or 3rd degree burn. Hot water rarely causes third degree burns but it is more than capable of doing so, especially in immersion like this.

  • That poor little girl must have felt so guilty. I felt so sorry for her.

  • Same! Especially with the fact she really wanted to help her lil bro. I feel sorry for both of them

  • poor little 15 month old

  • that was a stupid 4 year old sister

  • No, she was not stupid she was trying to care for her baby brother, She's a toddler too you know.

  • This made me al,ost cry because he looks like my little brother... :'( Poor little guy...

  • Christ how hot was that water?

  • wow. I got right hand scald when the kettle full of hot water went open and the hot water just run down my hands. It did scald my hands, but after 5 years, well, my right hand is now okay.

  • P.S....DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, watch this while you eat cheese fries. LOL

  • O M G!

  • omg that guy at the biggining is sooooooooooo annoying

  • The little girl is a liar, she didn't "accidentally" turn the water "the wrong way". She didn't know what she was doing, burned her brother, and is trying to weasel out of trouble. The only consolation is that she'll spend the rest of her life in guilt-ridden angst playing second banana to her brother who was probably excessively coddled as a result of this incident.

  • oh grow up. she was young when it happened. she didnt know

  • did u actully put the word "kind" in ur name?

  • Kind Pastor? Are you that Reverend X guy that used foul language on TV? LOL

  • the mother herself said the daughter liked to act as a Mother Hen which is why she gave him a bath anyways.. she was so little and you're just an asshole.

  • wow that little girl was so smart to know you never touch burns, I wonder who told her that

  • SHE HAVE TO BE GROUNDED

  • I feel so bad for the girl because she was jus trying to help her little bro but styll, thts y you listen to your parents
