That's because Universal didn't want to spend the money to keep it running. It's the coolest part of the attraction and Universal didn't think it was worth it.

me to 2008 i am enter in the ride the 4th july the indépendance day and i a little scared by the voice in enter but the ride is so great.

LOL I remember when we went on this When Darkenon said "Now you will never leave", me and and friends were all like "Look waht you got us into Taylor!" It was sooo fun!
