Peru is not Mexico or Argentina . Just 2 to 4 % of the soil is fertile land; our agricultural products dont compete in quantity but in quality. The majority of the farmers use their land just to grow vegetables for their own consumption not for trade. The small companies could use the FTA as an opportunity to sell their products to bigger and wealthier markets instead of selling their products in the poor and small internal market.
