@youchannel5 almost every game does fake moves, that's what makes them fun- I'd NEVER try anything from a tekken game, all their moves are fake too - they are based off real martial arts though, just as some kof characters have some real martial arts - the fantasy element makes them fun, I wanna do tae kwon do while shooting a flame out my foot

I agree. KOF 12 is the worst. i cant believe i wasted my money on that. I mean the game has no kind of story line. THE BEST chars are not on there (K', Kula,Vanessa,K9999,Angel, etc. my opinion). The only thing good about this game is the graphics. I give credit to that. the arcade is not long enough and there only 1 game mode to play besides vs mode. this game sucks lol

This KOF is looking soo good. The characters have a lot of depth because they are so beautifully rendered and have so much weight. I just hope that the console version plays as good as the old KOF 98 on Playstation. Now I want a new Hi-res 2D STREET FIGHTER with the possibility to charge your opponent instead of jumping across the screen like flees. electricdookie - I'm buyung Blazblue cause it looks soo tight but the name sounds like the title of somekind of Parody. Donno sounds a bit cheap.

KOF and SF play the same really it just depends on the character you use. I prefer SF but i do play KOF every now and then. gotta say tho i dont like how this game looks, yeah the 2.5d is cool but Goro and most of the power characters look too huge.

because KOF12 had WAY less content and crappy online. Honestly, being a fan of both series, i recommend Blazblue. SFIV is too unbalanced and KOF12 is just disappointing. I give SFIV a 7

Blazblue is more imbalanced than sf4 though, in fact sf4's balance is almost perfect ofline, online the timing changes and sagat gets rigged, unless the game lags, during lag zangief almost always wins. also sf4 is more mind games oriented, carefully timed distance judging ,zoning, and priority difference always beats combo plugging IMO

Well since i play SF4 alot more i'd give it an 8.5 or a 9. The balance of SF4 is ruined by spammers who think they pwn by throwing hundreds of hadokens/Tiger Shots. Blazblue involves more mind game tactics because of the pros/cons of one character might be a good/bad match against another character. It really isn't as easy to get a good combo off in a match than it looks. the only imbalances in Blazblue are Arakune and Nu(V-13).

Also mind games aren't about the character it's about how the character is used, there isn't just one way to use each character. The playstyle is the player's doing not the character's, for example I use a mobile/active defensive zangief style, most people think only guile and ryu should be used patiently, which is not true.

Bit of a scale problem between the fighters and the background. Still has the cack drawing style that that new company brought with it. On visuals alone (don't want a gameplay row; other games like Smash Bros could be called 2D) I have no idea why people have played 2D fighters so long, they shouldn't have made it to the PS1 let alone PS3. Streetfighter has left the 2D club and finally looks like a vidya game of it's time. (Not to mention something you wouldn't be embarrassed playing)

vampire savior is better. It manages to retain wicked good balance (better than most arc system works games) while having characters so different from each other, the character's can't even agree on the same movement/dashing/jumping style, let alone attacks, and yet, good balance, also Vampire savior only has ONE infinite in the entire game, and yet the character who has it is low-tier (b.b hood) that's because the infinite is so hard and impractical that nobody uses it.

Look at the facts U.S. was biased to KOF to begin with and Japan at least some play. Not really because they've just toned down the priority of these command grab supers. If you play 98UM a lot like me then this is not a suprise, as command grabs beat out nearly everything in those games. KOFXII seems to be a game where grapplers aren't as strong anymore.
