I only use the thing to edit videos, because i prefer linux over both the corporation os'es, but the osx loads and works just as good as any official hardware, except its free!

PCs may not be as versatile as Macs, but they're easier to use. I have a PC and my dad has a Mac, which I use a lot. But I think Macs are too focused on pretty, smooth graphics and sleek designs. For example, my dad's Mac freezes a lot, videos and games don't run smoothly, and it's hard to navigate through personal folders and applications. PCs are not always crap; it just depends on what type of crap you're saying they are.

I'm glad we use Macs in my office, they have far fewer issues with stability and security, and allow me (the sys/net admin) to spend my time on tasks other than desktop repair. It's refreshing to have machines that simply work, and with the new Intel systems, they are pretty price-competitive with Windows analogs - just don't look for a bargain-basement cheap Mac. That said, PCs do have their uses, and I am very interested to see what Microsoft will be doing in Vista.

People fail to mention, macs are limited to a handful of configurations which can easily be tested by apple before they release anything, whereas a pc can have a ridiculous amount of hardware combinations dating from 1980+, which is literally impossible to be 100% monitored and tested by Microsoft and other hardware/software makers. I didnt "crash" I said "reboot", learn2read. I got xp pro when it released and I can't ever remember it crashing. Programs crash ocassionaly but, doesnt effect windows, and its usually 3rd party software.
