This is the reason: VCB runs the 100m therefore she isn't fresh for the 200m, but Allyson only runs the 200m thus, she is fresher than VCB. 2004 was different, Allyson was new on the seen and VCB was not so new and just a little better at the time.

If you watch the 200m at this years olympics you notice that Felix had a limp even the commentators point it out. Felix was not at her best this year in the 200m

i noticed one thing - allyosn, as soon as she won, went over did all the things the winner has to do without missing a beat without looking any different before and after the race. but the people who won the second and third positions respectively, went flat - they looked absolutely exhausted. i know allyson was probably tired too, i just think it's cool that she able to look fresh as a daisy right after winning that race.
