That is so weird!!My friend owns a CLS 55 with Carlsson full package putting about 620 hp to the flywheel and we raced against a stock M6 and modded M5 with about 550-560 hp to the flywheel, and we beat of them. It is very hard to believe an E55 which is much lighter than the CLS and has 640 hp will lose to a stock M6,on top of everything that bad!!I think the problem with the K4 Kleeman is overheating of the kompressor at higher speeds and that is why the E55 lost.
I have read several posts to this video now and there isnt anyone of you that speaks of aerodynamics. Go back to school and read more and you will understand why the MB takes off like a rocket and why the beemer comes back when the hit 200km/h.
It also keeps up with my RS6 580 Hp. Ive been a merc fan earlier but now with family RS6 Avant is better. The sound in the e55 is far to "deep". When kick down when I had my stage 4 merc it reved a lot more, the sound is much "higher" pitching so something is wrong in this video as you all now. When I ran my e55 stage 2 it was almost similar to M6 and with stage 4 the M6 did loose quite much. Dont dizzing any car, just bringing you facts that most of you already new.
I like both Audi RS6, Merc e55 AND Beamers M6 & M5 and driven several of them including a stage 2 Kleemann and stage 4 Kleemann.
Lets just face it, do you ever think there is a slight chance Gustav sometime lets another stage 4 or even stage 3 Kleemann e55 race a M6. The answer is of course NO, and you all no why. I like M6 and it is really fast and it is very impressive that it keep up with an S65 merc with 100 less hp.
Some much for Kleeman abilities as a tuner. I would be pissed if I spent all that money for the k4 package and it performed like a stock e55. I dont think the boys at m5board are trying to pull a fast one either
this is not 640 hp. It sounds stock and accelerates like it's stock. The m6 drives right on by with no trouble. A stock e55 will stay close to the stock m6, it may not win but the race would look similar to this. An extra 140hp and the e55 is easily beaten? Maybe the benz is broken? maybe the ic pump? It can't be healthy to lose this way. 640hp is more than an SLR and the stock m6 wins? Not possible.

I'm about to make a video of my stock E55 just to compare the ODEMETER speed of this E55 and mine. The issue here is mechanical with the E55 and believe me I love the M6/M5 and all of the AMG's. This is pure fun but the reality is that this should not have happen to a healthy E55.
I have raced and driven both cars. The M6 stock vs stock is faster but not by a large margin. I have had issues with my IC pump that made my E55 lose a lot of power and once I changed it my car was a new beast. Just look at the ODEMETER speed of this E55 and compare it to other videos on youtube of modded E55's and you will see that this E55 is absoluetly having issues. Stock vs Stock this shouldn't hapen !
E55 cant be producing 640hp. m6 is very fast car though. BMW have spent loads on the drivetrain of the m6 ensuring that power gets to the wheels. Ive been in both and I like both for different reasons.

the real issue is though, that the m6 is much newer and has thus more years of engineering incorporated into it, making the hp and the transmission work verrrrrry efficiently. The relic e55 cant beat the quality engineered 2008/09 m6 transmission

ppl watchin this video don't realize that acceleration is NOT just determined by raw power/torque ratings. Bmw's 7-s is a modern, advanced transmission, amg's 5-A not so much.
Also if you look at the fact that almost any bmw achieves 'fast' with little power. random ex: the new 128i with a manual clocked a 5.7s 0-60, and it only got 230hp/200tq. Benz C350 is a lot more powerful and with way more torque and is not any faster.

I bought the video that they were selling, and if you watch it something is definetly wrong, for example, the gallardo was getting abused by almost everything when its HP and TQ were higher then the other cars plus the lambo was lighter and getting abused. I saw that a repeated amount of times. This race is another example.. 640hp 900torque, put that in any gearing you want the E55 should blow it, I own a E55 and I know it's not possible.

E55 has no cooling mods. The SC shut off at high RPM. Kleemann does not offer a cooling package.

first its Kleemann not Klemman, second K1 + K2 + K3 + a modified inlet house and throttle body.
Up to 620 HP and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque...wich is about 3.9 sec to 100km/h and max speed 338km/h...so guess it is not real!!!

ppl watchin this video don't realize that acceleration is NOT just determined by raw power/torque ratings. Bmw's 7-s is a modern, advanced transmission, amg's 5-A not so much.
Also if you look at the fact that almost any bmw achieves 'fast' with little power. random ex: the new 128i with a manual clocked a 5.7s 0-60, and it only got 230hp/200tq. Benz C350 is a lot more powerful and with way more torque and is not any faster.
e55's tranny & drivertrain wasnt build to eat supercars at 155mph.

I bought the video that they were selling, and if you watch it something is definetly wrong, for example, the gallardo was getting abused by almost everything when its HP and TQ were higher then the other cars plus the lambo was lighter and getting abused. I saw that a repeated amount of times. This race is another example.. 640hp 900torque, put that in any gearing you want the E55 should blow it, I own a E55 and I know it's not possible.

Secondly, to your question. True, the Gallardo and the E55 was a "negative" suprprise. But as you can see we ran them constatntly wihtout different results. Also, we have raced other Lamborhini Gallardos with similar results = even to the BMW M5.

By the way I actually have gone head to head with a friends M6 in my SL55 to 155 mph until my governor kicked in. (the E55 is faster than the SL) Sorry, but AMG definitely owns the German performance market.

is there an e63 vs m5/m6 video out yet.. because these e55's have sub 500 horsepower engine and 5 gears, while m5/m6 has 7 gears and 500 hp. i could understand putting the older model m5 against the e55. cuz same generation.
the MB 55 amg engine is amazing. although slower at higher speeds, on public roads where you will not go above 80 mph, e55 kills it with all taht torque. in any gear at any speed e55 jumps like no other.
