A lot of the comments state Martin should have ended up with Cora. I agree, Martin needed someone he could fool around with as well as love. Ronnie never really seemed rounded as character, most of her lines concerned her age. Cora was clever, funny, sophisticated, romantic etc.
They really should have kept Martin & Cora together. They made a sexy, classy couple. It's difficult to find a similar pairing in sitcoms for older couples, so it really would have broke with tradition in a sense.
I liked Cam's apartment better. It was sophisticated, but still cozy.
I wish technology advanced the way movies portray it too. When I watch Back To The Future II, the "future" is 2015 and they've got hover boards and flying cars. When really not much has changed since Marty's present and our now. Niles with his nice suit and hat, riding around on his segway makes the future look so stylish and cool. But it's been how many years since this show & still, nothing close to that cool has happened.
@TheBookVlogger Well the two apartments are obviously the same studio, just set-up differently. But yeah Cam's decor is waaaaaaaaay better than Frasier's. The darker lush colors make combined with the old-worldy touch make it seem homey, but it has all the modern trappings (little hi-tech gizmos) to balance it out. Frasiers apartment seems part of that "New Design" wave from the late 90s - I hated that style. Feels more cold & clinical.
@JimboParadox Yes, I have to agree. One thing that really stood out to me was all of the plants in Cam's apartment. Plants go a very long way in changing the atmosphere of a room.

I mean, Ronnie was really funny, like Sherry was, but I think Cora would've suited him better — she seems a bit like Hester, classy but easy-going, with a blustery, snooty son. Plus the friction between Cam and Frasier would've been epic to behold.
Also, it would've been cool to have an interracial couple on the show. It's a widespread flaw with sitcoms that have a white cast — a lack of non-white supporting characters.

@brandiralavara5 Yeah the way the Cam actor portrays his character is a little over-the-top for my taste as well. He should be able to do pompous & stiff without having to come over like he's fresh off a Broadway musical.
@RichieEastside Yeah, I agree. But I dont think the dynamic would have worked in the long term. Having Cam's strong, bold, alpha male character would have diminished Frasiers standing somewhat. Still, they could have brought him into a few more episodes. Perhaps something sweater realted.
