  • what have you done to the engine can you list them ?

  • the owner's max speed must of the time was 75 mph

    120 kph

  • What's done to this motor??

  • sure that aint the rev counter?

  • @Rustynut10 just shutup

  • this is 1968 hardtop, 289cui and about 350hp :) Now is FOR SALE

  • wich model ist this mustang?

  • @GUnit1966 i think its a 66 judging by the dashboard....my dad had a 66 and it look like that

  • @JARBOOGIE2

    okay thanks dude ;)

  • The speedo is LYING ;)

  • dude! nice car you got there.

    so it's a 289 4,7L V8 with a 4 barrel holley carb.

what else can you tell us about the engine?

    what mods did you make?

  • SUPER CAR

  • the velocimeter is working well? what type of engine a 302?

  • is that a 67 ?

  • very powerful engine ^^

  • Nice.

    Hope you have a tachometer...

  • @lynch5552933 didn't u see the shot of the road at the end of the video?

  • If you beleive that this video is real you voted for obama, This is obviously done on a dyno, this stupid ricer car couldnt break 90 on a real road.

  • @lynch5552933 ... wow that was probably one of the bigger troll fails iv seen in my youtube days

  • peg it!

  • yeah baby

  • What size of your engine?

  • Nice video :) Not a lot of wind noise... I would like to buy a '66 or '65 one. I'm seriously considdering it. Since I live in Europe, and i don't want to ship one from the US, I have a very limited offer, and I've picked one out already. Tell me please (if you know), what is the fuel consumption of a 3,3l (120HP) one? Thank you very much!

  • @InfinityNS I live in Europe too, but i have ´68 with V8 289cui (4,7l) I don´t know what is the fuel consumption 200cui (3,3l), but my mustang is consumption 19l/100km. Where are you from?

  • @PaPaja12 dont find many people topping out the muscle car on youtube but that was epic. is it a 289ci v8?

  • @PaPaja12

    I get with my 66 Mustang 289cui 4barrel around 13l/100km (i'm from europe too)

but i do drive him almost daily

  • @InfinityNS I have a 69 250 inline 6 and I'm getting about 23 mpg on average. so you can rest assured knowing you'll have good fuel economy. roughly 25-30 mpg

  • wow lol

  • mph or kph ?

  • @xcaesarsamanox most likely mph, with the rate its climbing and seeing kph. i think 120kph is like 50-70 mph

  • @sylentmyst 120kph is 75mph, but this is mph,so 120mph is 192kph

  • @PaPaja12 Yes, I know. i was telling what it would have been in mph if the gauge actually read in kph, just to show how ridiculous that would be. I'm not sure many American V8's would have a top speed speedometer of 50-70 mph, know what I mean?

  • what year is it?

  • Not sure I believe your speed calibration... The car only reved to what sounded like 4000 rpm in second gear and you hit 75 mph lol. This really looks to me (and i've been around this stuff long enough to know) like a dramatic speedo miscalibration. Your car goes from 100 - 120 WAY faster than a 289 is capable of.

  • @gtdrummerdude This car probably has the standard gear ratio(either 2.70 or 2.80), which would make it pretty believable. My GMQ has 2.73s and can do 75 in 2nd, and the 4R70W has shorter 1st and 2nd gears compared to any non O/D Ford auto. I wouldn't bother trying to read it after 100 anyways, look at how bad it wobbles back and forth.

  • man for a 289 these engines got some pep to them

  • shit fuck my 390 galaxie only gets up to 115

  • damn that is a good as the new shelby video i watched just a few seconds ago.

  • it looked like a new one for a few seconds but then i saw the jumping speedometer

  • ok noob question, why is that speedometer convulsing?

  • @paulerbear119 Dry speedo cable

  • @metalgtp thanks, lol now what exactly is a dry speedo cable?

  • @paulerbear119 My 68 gmc C20 did it too, my dads 76 F250 does it a little bit, but not bad.

  • @Hotrodx199 ohh... how do u fix it?

  • @paulerbear119 I dunno, but personally it really doesnt bother me.

  • That stock 289 never runs out of power.

  • I'm gettign a 67 with a 289 and C4, it has a cam and headers and a 4bbl carb. Is there a way you can make the auto shift at higher rpms? It seems it shifts a little low, idk.

  • that seemed pretty fast but sounded pretty smooth too. props either way...

  • what year is that stang?

  • 1968

  • mustang's haulin' ass

  • is this a stock 289?

  • yes, it is

  • really your not bull shittin?this is stock?thats crazy fats for stock!sick stang bro!

  • @PaPaja12 dang they had fast cars in 68!

  • how much of that motor is stock and what have you done for handleing pourposes?

  • I have a 67' with a 289 cu... what engine do you have?

    Is it a 302?? O_o

  • no, this is 289cui too

  • Ohh, cool =D

  • I have a 1968 Mustang with a 390 4sp. that I totalled out about two weeks after a year-and-a-half, 10,000 resto. (sad). I managed to roughly clock it, and it did 0-60 in about 5 to 6 seconds. It was powerful and very fun. My advice is drive safe. Nice car; I like the 67-68 body styles the best.

  • Sounds like a C4 transmission?

  • Thats my man ....great and a beautiful sound of that V8.. yam yam

  • wtf waht a speedometer :D

  • now this is a good video,,,, OLD SKOOL

  • can I ask what gears you are running? I have a GTO with 3:90's and I want to go to something like 3:23 so I'm not taching so high on the highway. This looks good and it seems to top out somewhere around 130 or 140. Currently I'm turning 4000 at about 90.

  • what year is the stang?

  • It's a 1967.

  • My Dad Has a 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda

  • Are you runnin a four barrel?

  • I would probably say yes. I'm not sure but he hit 50 in a little over 5 seconds and thats what mine does with the 4 barrel I just put on.

  • This car is suprisingly quick for a 289. Especially in 3rd gear....Very nice

  • Not bad. Drop in a T5 and it makes a world of a difference. I'm nowhere close to a mechanic but I still managed to convert my 67 hardtop with a c4 to a T5 with a hydraulic clutch setup in 3 days. Spent almost 2 grand in parts including new driveshaft. Worth it. Feels like a speed boat on the freeway LOL.

  • LOL nice

  • Its just your speedo cable needs replaced. Anyways, dude, do not drive that fast again. The old steering/suspension on them is poor. Nothing like newer cars, but much cooler You will end up in a bodybag, sadly, your friend too :( Yes, i know stangs rather well......fair warning.

  • tell us more about the upgrades friend

  • 7.2 seconds from 0-60 ... not bad for a small 4.6L V8

  • thats a 289

  • Technically the 289's were 4.7L but thats still pretty fast for one of the small block fords.

  • This is 289 with litlle upgrade .)

  • an upgrade? how intrieguing. care to pleasure us with any details?

  • wat year is the car

  • This is 68 hardtop

  • yeah but that aint no 289 is it?

  • how slow is that

  • that is a nice and very fast 289!!!!!

  • You should probalby get that speedo fixed. (the jittering/jumping I mean

  • this is a real video

  • er, I know it is. I mean, you should get the speedometer fixed, so it doesnt do that.

  • ohhh, i know what you mean, probably next time i´ll fix the camera :)

  • lol thats not what i mean. when you first iht the gas, it jumpsbetween 10 and 20, and above 100 it continually bounces. (the actual speedo needle)

  • what? clearly you have never driven a old car.. All old spedos do this!

  • dude u got to manualy shift that car. its auto shifting at like 3500. but ur peak power is probably at 4500-5000. learn how to drive

  • you are so clever :) But when is auto shift, you shif just D and then never touch on the shifter! this is AUTO shift man!

  • congrats to u for figuring out that this car has automatic trans. i was clever enough to figure that out also. these old cars could also be manualy shifted from 1st to 2nd to 3rd with selector so that u could let the car rev out more rather than it auto shifting at 3500. papaja u know nothing about cars obviously

  • u right "these old cars could also be manualy shifted from 1st to 2nd to 3rd with selector" but this drive is just with D, i can not use 1st, 2nd and 3rd

  • yes these old cars some times have those selections, but by shifting like the way you suggested you would eventually tear the shit out of that tranny, they are not meant for you to use them like that, and it is shifting at about 3500 maybe 3800 rpm and that is about right for a 289 with a c4 transmission.

  • just shut up guy hes out for a cruise not a drag race. and even if he was its plenty fast enough to enjoy himself. I always just throw old muscle cars into drive and cruise. they are retired and just wanna relax haha.

  • somebody call the waaaambulance

  • so fast! nice mustang

  • cool

  • damn no mames carnal pero que paloma acelero

y el ruido del viento que paloma man.

    ta vergon

  • wholysmokes thats crazy igot a 68 gt mustang an i nver go over like 90 steering is way to loose in the car plus i cant afford to let anythin happen to it nice video though

  • is this a 289?

  • yes, this is a 289cui

  • That's awesome your speedo hops like mine use to do.."cop" Excuse me sir do you know how fast your were going.. "You" uhh between 70 and 80 lol... good times

  • 67? i have a 67 with the same dash gauges

  • No, this is 68.

  • whats your rear gear ratio and tire size, is it a 302?

  • theres no school like the old school! sweet ride

  • Nice, its amazing though how 0-60 times are faster in new gts but 0-top speed is faster in older mustangs.

  • Verry good acceleration. Nice car :)

  • thats a pretty quick stang its automatic right?

  • yes,this is automatic,but manual is faster

  • fast steng

  • funny someone ask if its km/h or MPH its an old school car what do u think it is? common sense will tell u

  • It´s MPH, old school car is the best

  • Nice sounding mustang! What year and engine do you have?

  • It´s 1968 and engine is 289cui

  • Kicking it OLD SCHOOL! Love it!

  • gonna want a new speedometer, that one's twitchy

  • Why does 1st and 2nd shift early but winds 3rd gear all the way out? Sure its probably a 3 speed but still...

  • great sound from great car!!!

  • Hay mustangs que tienen un kilometraje maximo de 140 km/h pero pueden correr en 5.4 seg de 0 km/h a 100 km/h.

  • your speedo has a seizure lol after 100 mph. ^_^

  • km/h or MPH

  • Of course MPH

  • Very nice dude.

  • Holy shit that's awesome dude

  • What year is it?

  • It´s 289cui 1968

  • Nice man, were is the rest of the car.
