with the power functions system, you can run multiple trains, forward and reverse independently... can the older 9v do that ?

@majorsmackdown I don't know the old 9V rail system - this is Monorail, a completely different system. Trains go forward/reverse with special rail parts that have switches, much like the Duplo system.

Now the big surprise... monorail can also run on the PF system! With a PF battery box and sensor and an extension wire, so it is possible to give monorail trains PF functionality.

I did not use that on this train, though.

its not bad, but to break it to you, i love the emarald night. dude, my dad is a lego disiner, he knows wether a set is good or not, when i make a set, I give it to him and If he approves, and then he takes it to the other lego desiners, and if they rate it high, they make it into a lego set. i know weter a set is good or not.

@Legopossible Hay you moron, the older systems is alot better, i don't know much about the rare monorail system but the 9V Motor system is sure a better deal then the PF systen, its faster, its stronger, easier to maintain, easier to use and you don't need to recharge!
