  • God bless you.

  • Thanks. God bless you too.:-)

  • Look man i really don't think Obama will win because there are more racist white people near the south and it might come down to the southern states if that happens Mccain is going to win and what vice president Obama chooses if he chooses clinton it is going to defentley hurt him. If obama is really racist i think nobody should voter for him it is time for america to grow up racist is stupid if you really think about it.

  • PART 1

1st I want to comment on the person below me, fringefries. Calling ALL Republicas "child molesting perverts" is both wrong and obviously ill-informed. I do not support the GOP, I especially do not like President Bush at all. But, I would NEVER call all Republicans "immoral child molesting perverts".

Now, as to the video, I respect each person's right to vote according to the dictates of their heart. I just feel like if we elect McCain, it will feel like an extension of the Bush...

  • administration. Traditionally, the GOP is less likely to assist the poor and down trodden. Bush talked about being the "education president" during his campaign but there's been no improvement in our education.

As far as Senator Obama and the troubles with his church, I don't believe what his minister spews out will make Obama vote or act negatively towards white people. I don't always agree with some things my church leaders say but I still love my church.

    Peace!!

  • I agree. There has also been an increase in unemployment so the lot of the poor has worsened under the Republicans. That does not come as a surprise to me. I believe that is usually the case when they get in power.

I do not either. Notice how no one on the right is quoting specific times that Obama's personal beliefs about Whites affected him as a senator. The man knows how to separate what is personal from what is business. However, the same can't be said for McCain.

    Peace!

  • Yet some people insist that the two are so different. Nevertheless,I too believe we will get more of the same under McCain and more of the same is definitely what I do not want.

  • I can't say that I really respect your opinion because you went to great length to discredit mccain even though you said you'd vote for him. That's mental insanity, and you should get help immediately. A black man voting for a republiscum? After Katrina you'd think your insanity would have gone away but no, typical of all right wing loonies you choose a counter intuitive approach. Tell me how do put reason on the back burner? You are actually responsible for the destruction of America you know?

  • Well, whoever I vote for,I can guarantee you that I will have criticisms concerning them. As always. However,Obama and Clinton are so flaming liberal in terms of their views on issues or their sense of morality, decency, and values are so far away from mine that for me McCain is the best candidate even though by no means do I think he is a good candidate. As far as I am concerned all we can do is try to vote for the lesser of evils. No,it is not insanity on my part. Not at all. Take care.

  • Republicans are more moral? Now I know you are insane. Pedophelia is in more religious republican families than any other or do you not care about children? Perhaps you have a dirty little secret like Senator Larry Craig? If you want to know how IMMORAL conservatives really are look up republican pedophiles or republican child molestors on youtube. That should give you just a short list of the 100's of republicans who have been caught soliting sex from minors not to mention rape and muder.

  • I did not say Republicans are more moral. I only said that I think McCain is more moral than Clinton or Obama. Please listen to what I am saying and stop filtering it through your prejudice and hatred towards Republicans. Okay? I am neither pro-Republican or pro-Democrat and prefer to look at individual candidates regardless of their political affiliation. That is sane and a sure fire way to never be taken for granted by any party. And Dems have been guilty of taking Blacks for granted.

  • Ok, I'll ask you this obvious question. How would democrats not take advantage of blacks? Can you answer that? Or are you just repeating what others have told you? In what way do democrats take advantage of blacks? Republicans for 30 yrs have blocked every attempt at change through economic stimulus that would give blacks a better chance at success and no I don't mean welfare. Democrats can't pass crap without a majority vote and you aren't helping.

  • You do realize that Democrats whole heartedly supported a welfare system that was akin to handouts instead of hand ups and it was Republicans who forced changes in the welfare system that has resulted in poor people being trained and educated so they and theirs won't be on welfare indefinitely or generation after generation? Sure,Reps have been rough on the poor and minorities but they most certainly have not coddled them so much that they became dependent, useless, and shiftless like Dems have.

  • I think that in all honesty both parties could do more to help the poor and minorities advance in America and I think the solution lies in both Democrats and Republicans working together to solve the problem of poverty in America. Reps are too hard on the poor and Dems are too lenient or coddling. Together, they can find middle ground and do the poor the most good. I think the Welfare Reform Act which is on record as being a bi-partisan effort was a good thing. What do you think?

  • I agree 100%... so whyd you vote for mccain? best not to vote- least in my opinion... theyre both prejudice.

  • I have not voted for any of them, yet. I do not know if I will either. However,if I do have to choose between two prejudiced people, I would have to choose McCain. At least he is not a flaming liberal or at least not as much of a liberal as Obama or Clinton.

  • Someone like you who is willing to turn a blind eye to the immorality of the republican party may not be smart enough to vote. Unfortunately there is no I.Q. test involved. Please stay home and betray our country in your fantasies instead. Let me repeat republicans are IMMORAL CHILD MOLESTING PERVERTS.

  • Actually,I am not willing to turn a blind eye to anyone's immorality, not even my own. You are not a pastor or God so I will not recount my stories of immorality to you who no doubt has stories of their own. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God so I suggest you not judge others and tend to your own indiscretions. And,painting all Republicans with the same brush is prejudiced and I have no dealings with prejudiced people. So,I am afraid I must block you for the sake of decency. Bye.

  • If I do not vote at all people will ream me for being a Black person that does not appreciate all that my people and other peoples did to give me the right to vote. So,not voting is not an option. Unfortunately.:-/

  • You are entitled to your opinion, but honestly I have no idea how you have come to this conclusion. Not with looking at ALL the information available including listening to the sermons in their entirety. It would be in the best interest of everyone if Obama becomes president. Not voting is a slap in the face of those that fought and died for rights for non-whites. If anything vote for who sucks the least but dont just sit on your ass and do nothing!

  • I have not listened to the sermons in their entirety so could you direct me to good videos on YouTube that include the entire sermons? Send me e-mails with the videos attached, please. However, I will not likely vote for Obama since he bragged about voting against D.O.M.A. That is a huge turnoff for me. Huge. I understand where you are coming from and in all likelihood I will indeed vote. Thanks for the push.

  • I respect your opinion brother but I don't think your looking at the big picture. Obama is the only way to go given the choices and the more I learn about him, the more I like him. You want four more years of Bush? Vote for McCain or Clinton.

  • I think Obama and Clinton are so similar in their views on social issues and such that a vote for either means about the same thing. And,I am far from being an extreme liberal. I am more of a moderate or conservative. However,I am no longer sure if McCain is the right guy. Will have to think and pray on this one. I will probably end up voting for McCain even if I think he might be prejudiced. Clinton and Obama's values are just too far away from my own.

  • well being a white person i can agree with

you webant but MLK birthday is something i

am for totally course in not voting for mcCain

    but voting for clinton

should she be in the pres race

  • I respect your opinion and thank you for commenting. :-)

  • no problem :)

  • i must take you to task here. obama has been involved with trinity for 18 yrs, he got with them for their community service when he was almost 30. since obama has a white mother & was essentially raised by his white grandparents, it's foolish to make that conclusion. also, unless youve been inside tirnity (i have) you cant assess anything about it. i recall when the head pastor was BHerbert Martin. please research before you post brother

  • I may be wrong about all of this but there is something about this whole situation with his church and Pastor Wright that just is not right. If you think it is okay to preach about the kind of stuff Wright was preaching about behind the pulpit then you obviously do not believe the real purpose of churches is to help save people's souls, not serve as some kind of political place that serves the purpose of getting folks elected to office. That pastor used that church for politics and that is wrong.

  • he wasnt preaching anything so radical. he was reflecting about the black experience in america & id be enamored if anyone is capable of disproving anything he said. also, farrakhan has unequivocally DISaligned himself with the minister. that's just completely untrue. in fact, on savior's day this year, louis chimed in & said "im laying off, vote how you please". wright used no church for politics (although church & state are never separated) except for bettering an under seige black America

  • "God damn America". Can you justify that? Even a lay Christian knows that the saints should pray for God to save or bless America, not damn it. That was un-American and un-Christian. And let us not get into the statements that Wright made about Clinton being a White woman and therefore not being able to understand the trials and tribulations of Black folks. He was clearly pushing his congregation to vote for Obama and that would have been fine if he was not doing it from the pulpit. Come on now.

  • i totally agree but a don't think obama racist but maybe i'm 11 what do I know?

  • You know as much as you are willing to find out. Take a good look at what is being said about Obama's church and know this. If a person is going to a racially divisive church that is honoring the likes of somebody like Louis Farakan,is committed to helping Blacks over anybody else, and is okay with their pastor saying "God damn America" and going off on rich White men instead of preaching the Gospel then there is a good chance that person is just not right. Feel me?

  • I hear you. I remember reading an exchange of letters between Obama and McCain in which Obama talked about us working together to do something and then McCain told him that you are a young upstart who should know his place and not be talking about what we can do as if you are important or have been around long enough to say that. Some could perceive that as McCain feeling like the boy(Obama) just did not know his place.

  • The conversation got even uglier with McCain calling him a thug which reminds me of how White bigots like to stereotype all Black men as being criminals.Obama responded by attacking him for being so old, questioning his mental faculties and such. It was really ugly and it makes me wonder if McCain was bothered by his being a new senator at the time and/or his race. In light of the whole MLK thing,I am really wondering.

  • Webant,

Good for you, everything you said in this video is right on, except I dont think MCcain is prejedice. I agree they are way to liberal, Obama and Clinton. McCain is probably the most honest one out of the group. That being said this was the first I heard about the MLK holiday vote. That was 20 years ago, but thats no excuse.I am a republican and I was strugling, because I really liked Obama, but to act like he didnt know anything about Wright's hate speech really puts his honor at risk
