Some constructive criticism for the Battle of the Morannon.

While it was a nice setpiece, and the plan with the rams and storming the fortress through the gates is not bad, combining an assault through the gates with men storming the walls, descending into the courtyard and attacking the orcs from behind would have worked much better IMO. Then you move the archers on the walls and they can fire into the orcish mass more effectively. IDK if this occurred to you, just saying.

you won thats nice but you should have had more men and only mordor attacked not rhun and harad but you gave the enemy op units two so they were strong but it was a rly nice fight btw rly liked it

@itsallcoolable Nope, I'm following the book. Even in the film there were mumakil and other evil men as well. You had Haradrim and the Easterlings coming to the final battle, so this is accurate. If I had more men, the FPS would've died further as well.

Thanks. I always find the population growth really frustrating. The other AI factions always seem to be able to upgrade their wooden castles right to a fortress even without a governor. However whatever faction I play. Its a struggle to get the population to go anywhere near the level needed and then just when you reach the growth level goes to 0% :-( . (Note: This can happen even when I've tweaked the governor with some extra ancillery's and traits).

@mecas Enemy AI seems to have a population growth bonus, so they will be able to advance at a quicker pace than you're able to. In 3.0, the economy and building times have all been slowed it seems. With 3.1, they buffed it a bit, but not by much. Overall you can't rush and win, which is nice. But it does suck to not be able to upgrade specific towns for units.

Hi. I have a question about 3.0. Watching a play through I noticed that the Melkor temples have a population growth bonus. This seems unfair. How come the other factions don't have a growth bonus on the temples? (Could it be because evil factions don't have brothel's?).

@mecas That's actually a good question and I'm not entirely certain. I don't believe that evil has chicken farms like the good factions have, which implements a slight population bonus of 0.5%.

Couldn't you cover yourself with a starting screen expressing that, "The following images are the intellectual property of the mod developer group [don't know the name of the group]". As long as you never say that you created the intro video you should be okay (I think).

@TheWildDan Nope, with that many orcs they would've kept pushing them back and overwhelmed them. There is no oil, so there really isn't a point to it.

@selfabsorb1 I'd have to work out a multiplayer battle with several people most likely. They wouldn't be able to come in later or spawn outside the city unfortunately.

@MrBluebirdsfc Hrm, if it's patched I don't remember. There is a nocd crack you can use, which disables the requirement to have a disc. Since you bought the game legitimately I think it's fine to use. =)

For the Battle for Hornburg, you should do it multiplayer, to allow for maximum re-enactment fun!

(The idea being that the Elves deploy correctly and Isengard do what they did in the movies.) :)
